Opera 6.02 for Mac

Opera kicks off a new Apple season
Opera 6.02 for Mac in French, Japanese, German, and English

Oslo, Norway - May 22, 2003 - Opera today released Opera 6.02 for Mac,
quelling earlier rumors that the company would not continue development on
Mac OS. Thanks to the great interest from end users and corporate
customers, Opera is committed to continue its development on the Mac
platform, with a release of Opera 7 scheduled for later this year.

In July, 2002, Macromedia announced that they would embed Opera in their
Web authoring products. Since then, many other companies have been in
negotiations with Opera about embedding the Opera rendering engine in their
products, and the increased popularity of Opera's rendering engine is
fueling the continued Mac development efforts at Opera.

"Mac users have spoken," says Jon S. von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera Software.
"Thanks to the great interest shown by all our Mac users as well as Mac
software developers who wish to use our rendering engine in their
applications, such as Macromedia, Opera 7 for Mac will be coming to a Mac
near you soon."

Opera for Mac 6.02 comes in an English, French, Japanese, and German
version, and more language releases will be made available in the next
couple of weeks. The new version is optimized for extra speed, now works in
kiosk mode, and includes various bug fixes.

"This newer, faster version will become available in more languages in the
next couple of weeks," says Mary Lambert, desktop product line manager,
Opera Software. "The many language versions coupled with the new kiosk mode
offers educational institutions, libraries and other kiosk providers the
opportunity to offer their users a better Internet experience in their
language." Download Opera

7. Kiosk mode

Running Opera for Mac in kiosk means that registered copies of Opera for
Macintosh can now be configured for use with information kiosks. Certain
functionality has been hidden from the user, and special functions make
kiosk maintenance easier. Opera's kiosk mode for Macintosh uses the latest
