OPEN DOOR NETWORKS SHIPS ENVISION: THE NEW WAY TO EXPERIENCE THE WEB

ASHLAND OR -- July 14, 2004 -- Open Door Networks today announced
that it is shipping Envision 1.0 for Mac OS X. Previously available
as a public beta, the shipping version adds a number of
user-requested features to the cutting-edge Web viewing product,
including the ability to automatically set Web images as the Mac's
desktop picture and screen saver.

Envision lets Macintosh users experience the Web's increasingly
visual nature in innovative new ways, presenting images from Web
sites outside the confining windows of traditional Web browsers.
Instead of requiring Web content to be manually clicked through,
Envision helps users experience the "sights" of the Web through six
different views:

- Slide-show like, in a window, without text clutter
- Full screen, with the Mac as a "digital picture frame" around the images
- In "thumbnail" view, as a broad overview of the site
- In multiple windows at the same time
- As an automatically updating desktop picture
- Through the Mac's built-in screen saver, with pan and zoom capabilities.

Envision also gives users easy access to the Web content underlying
any images that pique their interest.

Beyond being THE new way for Mac users to experience the Web,
Envision also helps those Macs become part of the increasingly wired
(or unwired) home. Whether on a living room coffee table, or feeding
a TV or wall-mounted flat panel display, an Internet-connected Mac
running Envision creates a new fusion of art, entertainment and
information.

Envision's potential uses have caught the fancy of pioneering Mac
users around the world. "I'm addicted - there are so many cool
images out on the Web, and with Envision, it's easy to use them with
Mac OS X's screen saver," said Adam C. Engst, publisher of the
influential TidBITS journal. "Clearly I now need a big LCD to hang
on the wall as a dedicated picture frame."

The Imaging Resource Newsletter, in a detailed review, called
Envision "a unique approach that... runs like a dream."

Envision 1.0 for Mac OS 10.2.8 or later is available for purchase and
download off Open Door's Web site at
http://www.opendoor.com/envision/ . The release includes a number of
sample "Web shows" that highlight the new technology. A single
license for Envision is available for $39 through August 15, and $49
thereafter. A free, fully-functional 30-day evaluation version is
also available off the site.
