Version Master-Mac 2.0 Released

World's largest database of Macintosh software keeps Mac
professionals up-to-date

(Scottsdale, Arizona--May 4, 1999) Symmetry Software Corporation has
announced the release of Version Master-Mac 2.0, the first of two
major Internet based software update resources. A Windows version,
featuring web site and companion client application, is about to
enter its beta testing phase.

Over the last 3 years, the Version Master-Mac 1.0 application has
silently attracted thousands of Macintosh aficionados and
professionals. Unlike most software update tools, Version Master-Mac
dynamically builds and updates a massive database of over 60,000
worldwide Macintosh titles, including OS extensions, control panels,
and INITs of every conceivable variety.

Version Master-Mac 2.0 dramatically increases its utility to the
Macintosh IS professional by adding automatic e-mail notification.
When updates occur to the specific software users have on their Macs,
Version Master will send an e-mail notifying the user that a newer
version is available. Symmetry even verifies if the version is an
official release or an unofficial version in restricted release by
its developer. A Sherlock Plug-In is included which accesses the new
search engine at the Version Master web site.

Version Master is available in English, Swedish, Norwegian, Japanese,
Dutch, Danish, Finnish, and Spanish.

While the Version Master-Mac web site and companion application may
still be used for free, Symmetry is requesting a small annual fee of
$19.95 for users to enjoy full automatic benefits like the E-mail
notification and comprehensive listings of product and download
locations.
