Subject: TrafficReport b29 is here!
We're pleased to announce beta 29 of TrafficReport.
Advanced Reality Communications is pleased to announce Beta 29 of
TrafficReport. TrafficReport is a comprehensive log analysis program for
your web server.
New Features in This Version
Traffic Report is now threaded. This means that your computer will be more
responsive while TR is creating a report, particularly an HTML report
series. This addition requires that you have the Thread Manager installed
on your computer. The Thread Manager is built into Mac OS 7.5 and later.
Mac OS versions earlier than 7.5 require the Thread Manager extension. In
addition to your computers increased responsiveness, you may find that TR
produces reports significantly faster.
You may now open log files via the File menus Open command. TR will
automatically create a settings document and add the log you opened to it.
TR Beta 29 *is* compatible with files created with Beta 20 through 28. It
is good for 30 days.
Bugs Fixed in This Version
Traffic Report would sometimes forget the log files/folders and report
folder you specified in the setting files. This bug typically would occur
if the files/folders were stored on volumes other than the system disk and
the volumes at some time had been unmounted. It was the volume that TR was
loosing track of. This fix will even allow you to rename your volumes and
TR will still be able to keep track the files/folders youve selected.
When running an HTML report series, earlier betas of TR would sometimes
cause network connections to be broken. The new threaded approach fixes
this problem.
