SoftPress Offers Freeway Crossgrade to NetObjects Fusion Users

Oxford, England --- December 14th 1999 --- In response to the recent news
that NetObjects has ceased Fusion development on the Macintosh platform,
SoftPress Systems today announced that it is offering NetObjects Fusion Mac
users a half-price crossgrade to the company's acclaimed Web design
software, Freeway 2. The crossgrade is available to verified users of any
version of Fusion for US$149.50 and can be purchased through the SoftPress
Systems Web site at (http://www.softpress.com).

Freeway meets the needs of graphic designers who want an intuitive tool for
designing industrial-strength Web sites without the hassle of coding. It
uniquely provides a fully-featured DTP-style user interface that makes
professional Web site design more intuitive and accessible than with any
other visual Web design application. Freeway's familiar "Page and
Pasteboard" environment for designing and accurately positioning type,
graphics and multimedia allows DTP experts using applications like
QuarkXpress to feel immediately at home with the user interface.
"I started going through the tutorial from the trial version
yesterday and I was so pleased that I decided to order it immediately",
said former Fusion user Jocelyn Wilson at Arion Design. She added,
"Freeway is the most thoughtful and intuitive, web design package
I have ever laid eyes on and I look forward to using it for years to come."

Renowned for the clean HTML code that it generates, Freeway offers a wide
range of features for the more complex and technical aspects of site
production. One of the keys to making high-end web design features
accessible to all designers is the Freeway Actions technology. Actions
allow the separation of the two primary processes in Web site production -
creative design, and integration of complex scripting and back-end
functionality. Application of Actions include database connectivity,
development of e-commerce solutions, Dynamic HTML behaviors and Javascript
objects such as rollovers. A growing library of Actions has been developed
by both Freeway users and SoftPress and this is freely available from the
SoftPress Web site. Freeway 2.0 is supplied with a starter pack of Actions
which provides a useful range of pre-packaged functions.
More detailed information about Freeway 2 is available from
(http://www.softpress.com).

PRICING
Half-price single user crossgrades from the Mac OS version of NetObjects
Fusion to Freeway 2 are available for US$149.50 (GBP99.50 in the UK). An
additional 50% educational discount is available for qualifying customers.
Details of the crossgrade offer, educational discounts and other offers for
multiple purchases and site licensing can be found on the SoftPress Web
site.
