[NPL] SecureFM v.3.0

SECUREFM V.3.0 CROSS-PLATFORM PLUG-IN PROVIDES FILEMAKER PRO
ADMINISTRATORS AND DEVELOPERS COMPLETE MENU CONTROL - ENABLING
FILEMAKER PRO TO BE USED FOR MISSION-CRITICAL APPLICATIONS

Boulder, CO-April 5, 1999-New Millennium Communications, Inc.
announces the availability of SecureFM v.3.0, a plug-in designed for
FileMaker Pro databases which allows selective disabling of any menu
item in the FileMaker Pro application, either at startup or on the
fly, thus making it possible for database designers and
administrators to limit specific functions within FileMaker Pro -
effectively transforming FileMaker Pro into a secure environment for
mission-critical applications. Versions for Windows 95/98/NT and
Macintosh are immediately available. An introductory five-user
license costs $79.95. SecureFM is also available to developers to
incorporate into their solutions. A full functioning version of the
plug-ins for each platform, along with documentation, examples,
pricing schedules, and a "Configurator" file, can be downloaded from
http://www.newmillennium.com.

SecureFM is designed to prevent data loss or corruption by
dynamically disabling individual FileMaker menu items and commands
such as Delete Record, Delete All, Replace, New, Close, or Quit,
while keeping other menu items available to the user. Disabled
functions can continue to be executed by script, therefore a
developer can have complete control over when a user can access them.

"If a user has been given the privilege to edit any data in
FileMaker, they have the ability to edit all data, including the
modification and/or deletion of many records at once.", said Danny
Mack, President of New Millennium Communications, "SecureFM has been
designed to provide developers and system administrators the means to
ensure data integrity by controlling the modification or deletion of
records."

SecureFM can be configured to disable any FileMaker Pro menu item and
its command key equivalent. Different menu items can be disabled
depending on user mode (Browse, Find, Layout, or Preview).

The "Configurator" which comes with SecureFM includes several example
configurations including:
1. "Closebox Disable", which disables the Close menu item and the
associated closeboxes

2. "Data Guardian", which disables New Record, Duplicate, Delete,
Delete All, Replace, and Relookup

3. "Venus Flytrap", which assures that a user cannot navigate out of
the currently selected file and layout except by developer-provided
scripts or buttons

SecureFM requires FileMaker Pro for Windows or Mac OS v.4.0 or greater.
