Extensis Announces Availability of PhotoGraphics 1.0:

Extensis Corporation Offers Advanced Text and Drawing Capabilities
Directly in Photoshop with PhotoGraphics 1.0

Portland, OR - January 25, 1999 - Bringing the power of illustration
to Adobe Photoshop, Extensis Corporation today announced the
availability of PhotoGraphics 1.0. The most advanced tool for
creating re-editable basic vector shapes and text on a path within
Photoshop, PhotoGraphics streamlines the creative workflow by
allowing users to create and design all within one environment.

"Photoshop users have been requesting better illustration tools for
years. Jumping between Photoshop and their favorite illustration
software to create basic vector shapes and text on a path has become
a necessary evil," said Myke Ninness, senior product marketing
manager, Extensis. "PhotoGraphics puts their favorite illustration
and advanced text tools directly inside Photoshop."

Powerful Drawing Tools

With PhotoGraphics, users can now create a full range of editable
vector shapes that can be filled and stroked with a full featured set
of drawing tools such as line, pen, ellipse, rectangle, polygon and
starburst. The opacity of each object can be set independently and
vector shapes can be edited at any time, even after they have been
rasterized.

Advanced Text Formatting

Photoshop users can now create multiple text blocks on a path. With
complete independent control over placement and formatting of each
block on the path, users can, for example, create two different
blocks of text, each with their own placement and format, to reside
on two separate sides of a circle. Users have control over character
level formatting and can specify baseline shift, kerning, tracking,
leading, color and more for characters on an individual basis.

In addition, PhotoGraphics 1.0 provides a plethora of text formatting
options not available in Adobe Photoshop such as multiple independent
text blocks, character style sheets, super and subscript, all caps,
small caps, full justification, and horizontal and vertical scaling.

Extreme Edibility

Multiple illustrations can be saved within a Photoshop document,
allowing them to be exchanged among users, reopened and re-edited at
any time, even after the file has been rasterized, flattened and
saved as a EPS, TIFF, JPEG or PDF. Additionally, users can set the
level of anti-aliasing for any object from a sliding quality scale
that provides superior text and edge smoothing results.

Pricing and Availability

English versions of PhotoGraphics 1.0 are available for $149.95.
French, German and Japanese versions will be available Q2 1999.
Extensis PhotoGraphics is compatible with Adobe Photoshop 4.0 and
5.0, Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, and Power Mac OS 7.5.5-8.5.
