( What is OmegaWindow+? )
OmegaWindow+ (OW+) is a mouse-free window manager. It allows you to resize,
move, zoom, collapse, close, toggle, restack, swap windows without ever
touching your mouse. It relies on user-defined hot keys to provide a
consistent way of manipulating a window from any applications and Finder.
The specific functions of OW+ are:
Window Placement
20 template windows: This is a major feature of OW+. It replaces your work
on moving and resizing a window. You can define up to 20 different windows
with characterized positions and sizes. You can define a template window
through a pop-up dialog (OmegaWindow Assistant) at any time even if you are
working with any application or at Finder. Likewise, you can execute a
defined hot key on any application you are working on.
Window Click
This replaces the mouse-click on a zoom bar (with or without pressing the
option key) or a double-click on a title bar of a window. CloseAllButFront
deals with multiple windows.
*ZoomWindow: Zoom a window.
*ZoomFull: Zoom a window to a full size.
*WindowShade: Collapse/un-collapse a window.
*CloseAllButFront: Close all windows except the front-most window.
This command is an answer to the following user's request: "There is
another suggestion I can make which is probably useless but it might give
you an idea. It is a little complicated to explain, but it actually
something simple. I teach graphic design at a small college, and I see
students do this all the time: I often open a stack of windows working my
way down to some document buried in a deep folder. I use various navigation
shortcuts and aliases, but it still happens that I will need to get
something way down in the hierarchy for which there is no shortcut.
Eventually I want to return back to the top window of the hard drive where
my main folders are, but it requires closing a stack of windows with the
window's close boxes. If I use the option key and close box, that closes
everything including the front-most window. I only want to close all
windows and leave the top one open. It would be great to be able to do that
with a keystroke without having to set up quickkeys or applescript."- Tom
Bowling.
Window Order
If there are many open windows and some are hidden by others, finding a
particular window you want can be very difficult. The following tools
should provide an easier and faster way to select the desired window to the
front.
*ToggleWindow: Toggle between two or more open windows through a pop-up
dialog.
*FrontToBack: Send the front-most window to the back.
*BackToFront: Bring the back-most window to the front.
*SwapWindow: Swap the two front-most windows.
