NetMind Launches Mind-it 3.0

Largest Web Information Tracking Service Now Notifies of Changes
Within 24 Hours to Keep Users Updated Daily

CAMPBELL, CA - July 20, 1999 - NetMind Technologies, Inc.
(http://www.netmind.com) today launched a new version of Mind-it, its
free online service that tracks changes to any Web-based information
and proactively notifies users by email when changes have occurred.
Today, Mind-it serves over five million individuals who are tracking
both personal and business information on the Web. This version
offers significant new features to Mind-it users and Webmasters
alike, including a new My Mind-it page, QuickMinds, Minder Wizard
utility, and SmartLinks. Also, new benchmarks show that Mind-it 3.0
notifies users well under 24 hours after a change has occurred, on
average, as compared with 72 hours for other similar services.

"I've used Mind-it for years on the job," said Jan Palin, Automation
Processes Engineer at NASA - Kennedy Space Center. "Our primary use
of Mind-it is to help us watch for changes to the Web pages listing
critical payload schedules for flights on the Space Shuttle and
Expendable rockets. These changes could impact processing to both
current and future missions scheduled in our facilities, so we need
as much time as possible to prepare for these changes. We also
monitor changes to launch schedules, which frees us from having to
check these Web pages every day. Mind-it's 24-hour notification is
often faster than the time it takes for the Launch Services Manager
to alert the team."

New Features to Mind-it 3.0
My Mind-it
Mind-it now features one central Web location where users can go to
view all the information they are tracking. From the My Mind-it page,
users can quickly see when changes have been made and edit their
selections with just one click.

QuickMinds
This unique service directs users to one location where they can find
lists of the most popular Web pages, categorized into special
interest groups for easy "minding." For example, users have the
ability to track daily news from the Web on a particular company,
such as eBay, or conduct a "technology watch" on specific terms, like
XML or Y2K. QuickMinds simplifies the minding process for common Web
sites.

Minder Wizard
Minder Wizard is a new utility that travels with users as they surf
the Web. Now, users can use Minder Wizard to set tracking requests
with Mind-it on the fly and without ever leaving the Web site.

SmartLinks
For any personal Web pages tracked using the new Minder Wizard,
SmartLinks will remember any log-in information and allows users to
automatically enter these sites with one click.

Improved Sign Up Process
Signing up new Web pages with Mind-it is now easier than ever with a
new two-step process. For Webmasters, this process is important to
help visitors register quickly for one or more pages on a site.

24-Hour Notification
NetMind's notification cycle is faster than ever and will alert users
well under 24 hours, on average, after Web site changes are made.
This cycle is significantly faster than other similar services which
offer a minimum of 72-hour turnaround time.

About Mind-it
NetMind's Mind-it is built on Change Detection technology. It is a
highly scalable and personalized solution that can handle the
individual needs of millions of Web users. Individuals use Mind-it to
track any personal or business information, and the information may
be very specific, such as a keyword, portion of a page, graph or
image. Webmasters incorporate Mind-it on their own sites to keep
visitors up-to-date on relevant changes and bring them back more
often. NetMind's Mind-it is designed to help individuals get the most
out of the Web.

About NetMind Technologies, Inc.
NetMind (http://www.netmind.com) is the leader in the new category of
Change Detection. Users can track any Web-based information at any
level of detail and be notified when the information changes via
email, pager, cell phone, PDA or the Web. Over 5,000,000 active
customers are tracking business and personal information using
Mind-it, NetMind's free online tracking service. NetMind's ecommerce
solution, Minder for Partners, seamlessly integrates with any
electronic commerce, publishing, CRM system or Web site and
proactively alerts visitors or users to changes on these sites to
encourage repeat visits. Minder for Partners is used today by several
hot Web properties, such as eBay, Redherring.com and Direct Hit.
NetMind's enterprise solution, Enterprise Minder, is used by Fortune
500 companies, such as Boeing and Hitachi, to track important
intranet content, accelerate business processes, or jump-start an
extranet. With offices in Campbell and Santa Cruz, CA, NetMind was
founded in 1996.
