announced Net Tools, a plug-in extension offering Open Transport native API
to 4th Dimension.

Introduction

Net Tools is a 4D plug-in that provides an elegant and affordable solution
for creating database applications that support cummunications with the
Internet through "open standards" based TCP/IP or UDP protocols.

With Net Tools over 100 commands you can build complete internet based open
solutions for both both MacOS and Windows. Your applications are freely
transportable across platforms and, furthermore, they don't suffer from
4D's limitations concerning the number of internet connections avalible
through 4D current web licensing scheme.

generate pages on the fly. Net Tools lets developers implement Web servers
inside a 4D database. This eliminates the overhead of inter-application

Net Tools Beta is available immediatly at
http://www.coretechnologies.net/nettools. The release version is planned
for August 15, 1998. Windows versions are under development.

Net Tools is $400 per platform with a "no hassle" license that allows use
in an unlimited number of custom 4D applications. One license must be
purchased for each developer using Net Tools.

SSL components are under development, pricing will be under $1000.00 plus
$40.00 per CPU for RSA BSafe license.
