FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DEVELOPER CENTRAL PAVILION RETURNS TO, AND
NET INNOVATORS PAVILION MAKES ITS DEBUT AT
MACWORLD EXPO/SAN FRANCISCO JANUARY 1999

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. -- December 30, 1998 -- Apple Developer
Connection, Xplain Custom Services, and MACWORLD Expo are pleased to
announce TWO technical special interest pavilions at MACWORLD
Expo/San Francisco. Developer Central, sponsored by Apple Developer
Connection and MacTech Magazine, makes its return catering to the
Macintosh programmer and developer community. And this year, Net
Innovators, sponsored by Apple Developer Connection and
NetProfessional magazine, makes its debut showing off technologies
for web developers and network administrators.

January 5-8 1999, MACWORLD Expo/San Francisco is hosting both
pavilions in the North Hall of the Moscone Convention Center.
Developer Central is located at booth 3051. Right next to Developer
Central, is Net Innovators at booth 3550.

"Since the launch of iMac, forward-looking developers have realized
the business opportunities available on the Mac platform," said Clent
Richardson, Apple's vice president of worldwide developer relations.
"This optimism will carry over to Developer Central and Net
Innovators at Macworld, where Apple's sponsorship will help get the
Mac message across to the brightest and best application developers,
web developers and network administrators."

"These pavilions are the focal point at MACWORLD Expo for the
technical attendees seeking out exhibitors with developer and
technical information," said Neil Ticktin, CEO, Xplain Corporation
which manages the pavilions. "With a mission focused on serving the
developer/technical communities, these pavilions have vendors of all
types and sizes showing off the best the Mac has to offer."

"Developer Central returns as the ever successful and longest-running
MACWORLD Expo/San Francisco special interest area for developers.
Attendees are able to test the increasing number of hot, new tools
and applications and to meet the experts and developers behind those
technologies," said Rob Scheschareg, MACWORLD Expo show director.
"The Special Interest Environments have always been a successful
platform which allow attendees to test the increasing number of hot,
new tools and applications and to meet the experts behind those
technologies. We are excited about our two technical special interest
areas - Net Innovators and Developer Central - and all of our special
interest areas. Whether you are a software developer, programmer, Mac
professional, web developer, or network administrator, you will find
a specialized area tailored to meet your interests at MACWORLD
Expo/San Francisco."

"MacTech is a proud sponsor of the Developer Central area -- the de
facto presence for developer tools and services at MACWORLD Expo,"
said Nick DeMello, editor of MacTech Magazine. "Developer Central
consistently provides a comprehensive location for the developer
community to meet the experts face-to-face, keep their fingers on the
pulse of technology, learn about new products, and Mac developers
worldwide. If you already program on the Mac, or are looking for
more information on how to get started, Developer Central is a must
see."

"If you develop web content, manage networks, or have a serious
interest in the expanding Internet or network technologies -- you'll
want to visit the Net Innovators pavilion at January's MACWORLD Expo,
" said Raines Cohen, editor of NetProfessional Magazine.

At this MACWORLD Expo, you'll see 60 stations representing nearly
that many companies in the Developer Central and Net Innovators
pavilions. In addition, there's an information area hosted by Apple
Developer Connection staff, and the Depot selling area to get the
best deals on products at the show. There will be visible signage
above the booth 3051 and 3550 to help direct you to the pavilions
located in the northwest corner of the North Hall.
