[NPL] Multi-Ad Creator2 v1.5

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MULTI-AD SERVICES SHIPPING CREATOR2 1.5!

PEORIA, IL -- Multi-Ad Services, Inc. has recently began shipping
their Creator2 Version 1.5, the latest version of its comprehensive
page layout program for the Macintosh. Creator2 Version 1.5 is now
the only system to offer support for ColorSync v2.6 right out of the
box, adding even more value and functionality to the software's page
layout features, drawing, illustration and image manipulation
capabilities.

"Creator2 Version 1.5 provides users with literally the best
implementation of ColorSync 2.6 technology available today," said
Jill Addy, Software Product Manager for Multi-Ad Services, Inc. "It
is truly a complete solution for today's advertising professional
that provides a unique combination of performance and ease-of-use in
a single, cost-effective package." Creator2 v1.5 is the first layout
software to provide full ICC profile support and color matching for
both vector and bitmap images without the need for plug-ins or
extensions.

Creator2 v1.5 also includes a number of enhanced text capabilities as
well. The program supports activating and deactivating fonts while an
application is running and while documents are open. Creator2 v1.5
can even compensate for opening printing and saving documents with
missing fonts by storing references to those fonts, and allowing a
temporary substitute. It also gives users the ability to embed single
or multiple grouped elements within a text flow and edit the elements
in a separate window without taking them out of the flow.

The latest version of Creator2 features an improved user interface
that has greater compatibility with the Apple MacOS 8.5 Appearance
Manager. It also adds the ability to set Guide positions numerically,
the ability to customize the Text Size menu, and offers more keyboard
short-cut commands. Creator2's new element features include support
for changing the color of the black pixel in a grayscale image to any
other single color. The Drop Caps feature allows you to apply the
first few letters, the first word or the first few text lines of
every Page Two paragraph. Moreover, v1.5 includes a new Arrowhead
feature for applying a selection of scaleable shapes to lines and
open paths, and accommodates the scaling of grouped text and graphics.

Creator2 v1.5 has also added further enhancement to the support of
AppleScript. In particular, a new Startup Items folder has been added
that can contain any number of scripts, documents and application
aliases, which will be executed during the startup of Creator2.
Additionally, Creator2 now includes a complete implementation of the
Creator ACES (Application Control Event Suite), which provides a host
of AppleEvents for controlling the application, it's features and
documents from within a database.

Other notable enhancements to the software include the ability to
sort items in the applications Files Palette and the ability to place
its own native documents through normal place conventions. The
product now also has an Auto-save feature, the ability to see white
text against a white background and support for international smart
quotes. Creator2 1.5 now has the ability to proportionately scale
grouped text and elements.
