BLUE WORLD ANNOUNCES LASSO 3 WEB DATA ENGINE FOR NETSCAPE SERVERS

Blue World first to support both FileMaker Pro and ODBC data sources
using Netscape Enterprise and FastTrack Servers for Windows NT 4.
Lasso 3 Web Data Engine penetrates the Enterprise market as the
price/performance leader.

BELLEVUE, WA - February 12, 1999 - Blue World Communications, Inc.
today announced the Lasso 3 Web Data Engine for Netscape Enterprise
Server and Netscape FastTrack Server for Windows NT 4 offering the
first and only product for Web-enabling market leading FileMaker Pro
4.x databases as well as industry standard ODBC-compliant data
sources using market leading Netscape Server products.

"We're pleased to bring the power, flexibility and ease-of-use
provided by the Lasso 3 Web Data Engine to the vast number of
enterprise customers using Netscape Web Servers," said Blue World
president and CEO Bill Doerrfeld. "With support for Netscape Servers,
the Lasso 3 Web Data Engine furthers its position as the only Web
Application Server tool for developing and serving database-driven
websites using either FileMaker Pro or ODBC-compliant data sources
across platforms."

Success at the Corporate Enterprise

With the introduction of cross-platform versions of Lasso 3
Enterprise Edition in the Fall of 1998, Lasso continues to power
demanding intranet, extranet and Internet sites across corporate
enterprises. For example, telecommunications giant Nortel Networks
built an internal call tracking system for 500 seats using Lasso over
a weekend replacing a slow, inflexible solution based on Lotus Notes.
Networking giant 3Com Corporation's 60 user Creative Services
Department uses Lasso to manage projects by tracking vendors, staff,
dates, clients, assets, invoices, and data. With this application,
all department users, whether they're at the company's headquarters
in Santa Clara, California, or in offices in Boston, Chicago, Los
Angeles, or Salt Lake City, can access information across the
intranet with just their Web browsers.

As the only tool available to connect both FileMaker Pro and
ODBC-compliant data sources to the Web and priced starting at just
$1120, Lasso 3 Enterprise Edition is the price/performance leader
among enterprise Web Application Servers.

About the Lasso 3 Web Data Engine

The Lasso 3 Web Data Engine is leading Web Application Server
software letting Web developers quickly build and deploy
sophisticated database-driven Web applications for enhanced Web
browser access to information via intranets and the Internet. Lasso's
innovative architecture provides an industry first
platform-independent, database-independent, programming language
independent and open standards approach to building database-driven
websites, firmly positioning Lasso technology within the rapidly
evolving server-side Web tools market. With early Lasso technology
embedded within the market-leading personal and workgroup database
FileMaker Pro 4.x from FileMaker, Inc. combined with the growing
installed based of Lasso customers, Lasso technology is used at tens
of thousands of business critical websites worldwide.

Additional information about the Lasso 3 Web Data Engine-including
competitive comparison reports, feature overviews, customer success
stories, Lasso Internet Service Providers, Lasso-powered sites, Lasso
solutions, distributors and resellers and a downloadable test drive
version-is available at http://www.blueworld.com/lasso/.

Record Performance

The Lasso 3 Web Data Engine for Netscape Servers on Windows NT 4 sets
a new standard for performance. As a Netscape WAI (Web Application
Interface) plug-in, Lasso 3 operates over 12% faster than comparable
configurations running Microsoft Internet Information Server on
Windows NT 4 making it the best performing option within the Lasso 3
Web Data Engine product line.

About Netscape Enterprise Server

Netscape Enterprise Server is high-performance, highly scalable Web
server software for deploying the largest-scale websites. Netscape
Enterprise Server was voted Best of 1998 by PC Magazine and is
running some of the largest e-commerce, ISP, and portal web sites on
the Internet, including E*Trade, Schwab, Digex, Excite, and Lycos.

By providing such capabilities as failover, automatic recovery, and
dynamic log rotation as well as high performance and scalability for
dynamic and secure content, Enterprise Server extends Netscape's
commanding lead in the Web server software market. According to the
Gartner Group's October 1998 survey of Web server usage on public web
sites, Netscape software runs 43.8 percent of these sites, compared
to Microsoft IIS at 20.5 percent and Apache at 22 percent. In
addition, the survey also shows that Enterprise Server software runs
66.8 percent of Fortune 100 public sites, compared to Microsoft IIS
at 16.8 percent and Apache at 9.4 percent.
