[NPL] KEEMUX Keyboard-Video-Mouse for PC/Mac/Sun

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

KEEMUX Series of Electronic KVM Switches Provide Efficient Network Management

Aurora, OH: Network Technologies Inc introduces the new KEEMUX series
of electronic KVM (keyboard-video-mouse) switches for the PC,
Macintosh and Sun platforms. Each of the platform-specific switches
allow one user to access and control from two to 32 computers from a
single keyboard, monitor and mouse. KEEMUX switches can be cascaded
to create a switch with 128 port capability that operates as one from
a single control point. KEEMUX KVM switches are ideal for PC business
and manufacturing environments, Macintosh design studios and Sun
Enterprise networks by consolidating computer access at a single
location and eliminates redundant and cumbersome cables, keyboards,
monitors and mice.

The KEEMUX series of KVM switches have dedicated internal
microprocessors that emulate keyboard and mouse presence to each
attached computer 100% of the time allowing all CPUs to boot error
free. Attached computers can be located up to 500 feet from the
KEEMUX switch with supported resolution of 1600x1200 for crystal
clear display. The switch is controlled through either push buttons
on the front panel or via the keyboard. LEDs on the front panel
indicate the currently selected port and mode of operation. In
addition, there are three optional methods of control: Liquid Crystal
Display (LCD), Wired Remote and On Screen Display that enhance
functionality based on the specific network environment.

The KEEMUX-P series is compatible with all PS/2 style PCs and
laptops, HP9000, Silicon Graphics and IBM RS6000 workstations, and
support all standard 2-button PS/2 mice as well as Microsofts
IntelliMouse. NTIs KEEMUX-M switches are compatible with all Macs,
including laptops and Duo Docks, as well as computers with attached
dongle devices. The KEEMUX-S supports Suns with a 13W3 video
connector. All KEEMUX switches, regardless of platform, are software
independent and are fully Y2K compliant.

The KEEMUX series of electronic KVM switches start at $280.00 for a
two port PC unit. All KEEMUX switches come with a one year warranty.
A brushed aluminum Rack Mount option is available for all KEEMUX
units. Interface cables between the CPUs and the KEEMUX switch are
required for proper operation and are available in lengths starting
at three feet at a cost of $6.00.
