SOPHISTICATED CIRCUITS ANNOUNCES iDO SCRIPT SCHEDULER

-- Unlimited Number of Scheduled Events Automate AppleScript, Complete with
Idle Triggers and Hot Keys --

WOODINVILLE, Wash., October 21, 1999 -- Sophisticated Circuits, Inc. today
announced the iDo Script Scheduler(tm), an easy to use Control Panel that
helps users automate their machines using AppleScript(R). Mac OS(tm) users
can now schedule an unlimited number of events that trigger AppleScripts to
run automatically -- any time, day or night. The iDo Script Scheduler can
now also trigger AppleScripts when the system is idle, and has Hot Keys for
instant, user-activated AppleScripts. The iDo Script Scheduler was
previously highlighted in its "lite" mode within Mac OS 8.6 and from
(http://www.apple.com/applescript/), and remains freely available on the
AppleScript site. Priced at $24.95 each or $199 per 10-pack, the full,
unlimited iDo Script Scheduler is available today at
(http://www.sophisticated.com/), with site licenses also available.

"We've had a tremendous response from the 'lite' version of the iDo Script
Scheduler included in Mac OS 8.6," stated Sal Soghoian, AppleScript product
manager. "With Mac OS 9, we've enabled AppleScripts to run across the
Internet. Add the powerful tools in the iDo Script Scheduler and the
possibilities are limitless. Every serious scripter should get this."

"iDo Script Scheduler couldn't come at a better time," said Jonathan
Feinstein of Sophisticated Circuits. "AppleScript's power just took a
quantum leap between the iDo Script Scheduler and recent scripting advances
within the Mac OS. The newly incorporated System Idle triggers further
extend the event-driven possibilities. Plus, we added Hot Keys for those
AppleScripts you want to activate yourself."

Hot Keys, Idle Triggers and Unlimited Scripts The iDo Script Scheduler in
lite mode allows the user to create up to three events, using any
time-based triggers. These events can run scripts either once, on chosen
day(s) of the week or month, or at any regular repeating interval. Each
event can also pass a line of parameters to the script.

The new, full iDo Script Scheduler has no limit on the number of scheduled
events that run AppleScripts. Newly incorporated Idle triggers wait for
periods of mouse and/or keyboard inactivity to automatically execute
AppleScripts. The new Hot Keys feature allows the user to launch
AppleScripts with a keystroke, which can include any combination of
modifier keys, providing a fast, global way for users to run scripts,
regardless of what else is happening with the applications or the OS. These
enhanced abilities add to the feature set of the free, lite mode of iDo
Script Scheduler. In either lite or regular mode, the iDo Script Scheduler
is itself scriptable, giving the user advanced control of when scripts
should be run.

Mac OS 9-Savvy, Committed to the Community iDo Script Scheduler puts
powerful schedule-driven automation into the toolbox of every Mac user.
Consistent with Sophisticated Circuits' long-term commitment to product
compatibility with the latest important advances to the Mac OS, iDo Script
Scheduler takes full advantage of Mac OS 9's multiple-user capabilities.
Each user can have their own schedule of events, Idle Triggers and Hot
Keys. In support of the AppleScript community, Sophisticated Circuits will
continue to make the basic iDo Script Scheduler application freely
accessible, with the lite mode always available to run for free, and the
regular, feature-enhanced mode available for shareware prices.

Pricing and Availability
The new iDo Script Scheduler is available immediately from Sophisticated
Circuits' Web site at (http://www.sophisticated.com/) for $24.95 each, or
$199 per 10-pack, with site licenses available directly from Sophisticated
Circuits.
