Team ASA Announces First Copper Gigabit Ethernet Adapter For Macintosh

San Diego, CA -- Team ASA Inc., manufacturer of high-performance networking
products for PrePress and Digital Media professionals, today announced the
first Power Macintosh compatible copper Gigabit Ethernet adapter. The new
Stallion GT-II Copper plus the Stallion GE-II Fiber completes Team ASA's
high performance line of Gigabit Ethernet Network Interface Cards (NIC) for
Power Macintosh based platforms.

The new copper Stallion GT-II uses Category-5 cabling with an operating
distance range of 100 meters. "This is a great advantage for legacy
buildings wired with copper", says Mark Murray President of Team ASA.
"Network administrators can use existing cabling which will ease the
transition to Gigabit Ethernet and reduce installation time and set up
costs significantly."

The Stallion Gigabit series fiber and copper adapters are an advanced
series of PCI Network Interface Cards (NIC) utilizing the IEEE P802.3z and
P802.3ab specification for support of 1 Gigabit Ethernet. They are
currently the only adapters that come with Mac OS X Server drivers as well
as Mac OS 8 and 9 drivers. Stallion GE-II drivers for Windows NT, Solaris,
and Novell Netware based platforms are also included.

Team ASA continues its lead in introducing high-speed connectivity products
for the Macintosh. "We have improved performance to 17-20 Megabytes a
second transfer rate on our copper and fiber adapters" stated Mark Murray,
President of Team ASA. "We expect substantial improvement with the
implementation of fat packets (9 K-Byte Jumbo Frames), due in Q-2, 2000",
continued Murray.

The Stallion GT-II, like the Stallion GE-II, is powered by onboard dual
32 bit RISC processors and can be configured for Fat Packets to optimize
transmit and receive paths. The high performance Stallion GT-II when
coupled Team ASA's driver optimization protocols provides the highest
performance network available on any Power Macintosh today.

The suggested retail price for the copper Stallion GT-II Gigabit Ethernet
adapter is $795.00 which includes the Team ASA Open Transport, and PDQ
Express high speed cross platform file transfer application. Both the
Stallion GT-II and the Stallion GE-II carry a three-year warranty.

The new Stallion GT-II adapters will be available for purchase at Macworld
2000, January 5 at the San Francisco Mascone Center (Team ASA will occupy
Booth 3059 at Developer Central).

Windows NT and Power Macintosh computers. Team ASA also markets a line of
FDDI adapters for the Macintosh.

Team ASA is the exclusive North American distributor of MacServerIP, the
