BLUE WORLD LASSO WEB DATA ENGINE TO SUPPORT MAC OS X

Blue World's Lasso will Support Next-Generation Server Capabilities
Provided in Mac OS X. Blue World Reaffirms its Support for Mac OS as
a Robust Server Platform.

BELLEVUE, WA - January 4, 1999 - Blue World Communications, Inc.
today announced plans to develop a version of its Lasso Web Data
Engine supporting Apple's Mac OS X operating system, currently
scheduled for release in the second half of 1999. Based upon Apple's
Carbon APIs, the version will benefit from key advanced operating
system technologies such as preemptive multitasking, memory
protection and advanced virtual memory. The version will bring
powerful multi-threading technology already present in the Windows NT
version of the Lasso 3 Web Data Engine to Mac OS X customers.

"Lasso technology is already poised for smooth transition to Apple's
next-generation operating system," said Blue World president and CEO
Bill Doerrfeld. "Lasso on Mac OS X will meet the Web Application
Server needs for customers requiring an industrial strength operating
system."

In addition, Blue World plans to support other important Mac OS
Internet technologies, including support for persistent connections
in future versions of the WebSTAR API from StarNine Technologies,
Inc. Persistent connections and other WebSTAR API advancements will
dramatically enhance performance for the Lasso Web Data Engine
operating on Mac OS.

"The Mac OS led the desktop publishing revolution in both design and
production and printing and publishing," said Blue World president
and CEO Bill Doerrfeld. "With the Internet publishing revolution,
research shows the Mac OS leads in design and production but falls
behind in publishing and networking due to the lack of a robust
server operating system. This all changes with Mac OS X. Mac OS X
will position the Mac as the preferred platform for both design and
production as well as Internet publishing."

As a leading developer and evangelist in the Mac OS Internet server
tools industry since its inception over four years ago, Blue World
continues as a strong voice of support for the Mac OS as a preferred
platform for powerful yet easy to use Internet services.

Pricing and Availability

The Lasso 3 Web Data Engine is currently available for Mac OS,
Windows NT and Windows 95/98 priced from $500 to $1500 and available
from select resellers or via the Blue World Store
(http://store.blueworld.com). A version supporting Mac OS X is
planned for release soon after the release of Mac OS X. Pricing for
the Mac OS X version of Lasso is not available at this time. Free
evaluation versions of the Lasso 3 Web Data Engine are available via
