World's Best Selling Macintosh Web Authoring Tool Combined with Apple's
Fastest-Selling Computer

San Jose, Calif., (November 5, 1998) (NASDAQ: ADBE) - Adobe Systems
Incorporated today announced that Adobe PageMill 3.0 software, the world's
best selling Web authoring tool for the Apple Macintosh platform, will be
bundled with Apple's innovative consumer computer, iMac. Adobe PageMill 3.0
delivers an intuitive and straightforward Web authoring solution to Apple
iMac customers and is included with iMacs that have Mac OS 8.5 pre-loaded
on the system. Mac OS 8.5 is Apple's recently announced "must have" upgrade
to the Macintosh operating system.

"iMac combines the simplicity of the Macintosh with the excitement of the
Internet," said Phil Schiller, vice-president of worldwide marketing, Apple
Computer. "iMac is the simplest and fastest way to get online and the
combination of PageMill 3.0 and iMac makes creating and updating your own
Internet sites fun and easy as well."

Designed specifically to help businesses, home office workers and consumers
stand out on the Internet, PageMill 3.0 for Macintosh brings drag-and-drop
simplicity to Web page authoring, and supports many of the productivity
enhancements available in Mac OS 8.5

"The combination of Adobe PageMill 3.0 and the Apple iMac is really an
ideal Web solution," said Kyle Mashima, vice-president of Adobe's Business
and Imaging Solutions Group. "This announcement not only gets millions of
consumers on the Internet, but also gives them a quick, easy and affordable
way to create a compelling Web presence."

Key features in PageMill 3.0 for Macintosh include: * An easy-to-use
interface that enables busy professionals and personal users to quickly
build professional-looking Web sites without having to learn
complex applications or understand the intricacies of HTML.

* Integrated and enhanced site management features eliminate the time and
tedium of maintaining and updating a Web site; users can instantly update
their entire sites as easily as dragging and dropping.

* Drag and drop support for multimedia and Java that make creating and
previewing eye-catching Web pages a snap.

* More design and layout features, including enhanced support for frames,
fonts, color and more.

* Support for MacOS 8.5 enhancements including Navigation Services and
Contextual Menus.

* Improved support for HTML editing, including more control over tables and
source code editing.
