[NPL] AdKnowledge's Campaign Manager

For Immediate Release

ADKNOWLEDGE INTRODUCES CAMPAIGN MANAGER -- AUTOMATES WEB AD PROCESS AND
INCREASES ADVERTISING EFFECTIVENESS

Newest Component of the AdKnowledge System Saves Advertising Agencies Time,
Money and Hassle in Buying and Trafficking Web Ads

Palo Alto, Calif. -- August 31, 1998 -- AdKnowledge, the only independent
provider of end-to-end web advertising management products for advertising
agencies and their clients, today announced the availability of Campaign
Manager. The latest component of the AdKnowledge System, Campaign Manager,
improves agencies' profitability by streamlining the execution of buys and
the trafficking of web advertising campaigns. With the new Campaign
Manager, the AdKnowledge System builds on the company's web media planning
and ad serving technologies for a single system that makes the web
advertising process more manageable and gives advertising agencies better
control of their web media dollars.

Integrated System Saves Agencies Time and Money

The AdKnowledge System -- which includes four components that span
planning, campaign management, ad placement and tracking, and reporting and
analysis -- increases the effectiveness of campaigns, thereby improving the
return on investment of ad spending. The System's components are seamlessly
integrated to enable agencies to better focus on their core business, and
include:

* Planner, AdKnowledge's comprehensive pre-buy and planning module designed
to help agencies make informed media decisions and negotiate smarter. In
addition to syndicated research from MRI and Simmons, Planner integrates an
extensive amount of research data supplied by third-party partners
including Media Metrix, SRI and NetGuide. And now with this release,
NetRatings' target audience demographics are also included;

* Campaign Manager creates and manages insertion orders and handles
trafficking;

* SmartBanner, the proven technology that automates the placement and
tracking of web advertising campaigns. This advanced technology delivers
all of the leading rich media formats;

* Reporter, for customized reports both during and after campaigns. With
its frequent and near real time reporting capabilities, Reporter enables
effective and efficient creative testing and post-buy analysis.

"The marketplace has been demanding a single solution for the disparate,
often complex processes of planning, buying, trafficking, ad serving and
reporting," said Karen Franco, director of product management at
AdKnowledge. "Now, with Campaign Manager, the AdKnowledge System unifies
these processes into one easy-to-use system for greater control, better
efficiency, more effective ad spending and more profitable web advertising
management."

"AdKnowledge is our partner because they understand our agency's needs,"
said Thomas F. Hespos, Jr., media director, K2 Design, Inc. "The addition
of Campaign Manager to their suite of services will go a long way toward
streamlining our implementation of online ad campaigns. This makes us more
efficient and allows us to give our clients more for their money."

Campaign Management Made Easier & More Effective The new Campaign Manager
includes many features that make the AdKnowledge System a robust tool for
end-to-end campaign management.

Key features include:

* Buy worksheets, which include data from Planner, help agencies keep
information in one place, share it with others in the agency and negotiate
better deals on behalf of clients. Plus, agencies can now easily send RFPs
to any number of sites with just a keystroke;

* Insertion order creation and management enables agencies to easily keep
track of all insertion orders as well as provides the necessary paperwork
to conduct business with web sites;

* Traffic management helps users create traffic instructions for one site
or groups of sites -- just one time -- eliminating the need to re-enter
information multiple times. Users can also send trafficking instructions to
AdKnowledge's SmartBanner ad serving component once, rather than to each
site in a campaign. Users have ultimate control by assigning rotations --
such as every hit, time-based, percentage and more, as well as targeting by
browser, operating system and domain;

* Comprehensive reporting enables users to take advantage of both creative
testing and post-buy analysis reporting. Agencies can see reports in near
real time so they can make smart decisions about which ads are working and
which ones aren't. Users can quickly and efficiently view creatives online
and make changes as often as necessary, or analyze a campaign on a cost per
thousand (CPM) or cost per click (CPC) basis.

Availability and Pricing

The AdKnowledge System is available immediately and the company is
beginning to transition its customers, which number more than 100. The
AdKnowledge System is available on an annual subscription basis. The System
is web-based, so there is no hardware or software to buy, or maintain.
Billing is based on percentage tiers that correlate to agencies' monthly
advertising billing volume.
