ACTIVE SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES EUROCONVERTER 1.0
Powerful utility makes deploying Euro ecommerce solutions a snap.
GORIZIA, Italy - July 27th 1999 - ACTIVE SOFTWARE announces the release
of EuroConverter, a powerful utility to convert local currencies into
the Euro, the new European currency.
EuroConverter can be used with any application - databases (FileMaker,
4D, etc), spreadsheets or any other application capable of generating
a tab delimited file.
EuroConverter was developed by Active Software using RealBasic, the
popular Macintosh OS based development environment.
EuroConverter makes coverting large archives of information an easy
process.The conversion ratio is easily controlled in the application
preferences. For example, a FileMaker can contain some fields with
values which need to be converted from your local currency into Euros.
The conversion is easily done in three simple steps - Export, convert
with EuroCoverter and finally reimport. EuroCoverter supports batch
conversion of multiple files and can be fully automated through the
use of AppleEvents.
"This program is designed to simplify the transition to Euro, the new
currency which will be used all over Europe", said Livio Valdemarin,

who cannot afford enterprise level solutions for Europe's 'Euro-2K'
problem".
Pricing for a single user license is $20. A Site License costs $250
and covers all locations for your organization within a 160 kilometer
radius of your site (100 miles). A World-Wide License costs $400 and
it covers all locations for your organization.
You can download an evaluation version of EuroConverter, which becomes
a full version once you get the activation key.
EuroConverter is currently available only for the Macintosh in English
and in Italian. A multiplatform and German and French versions will be
soon available.
