Now Software Announces Next Generation of Calendar and Contact

COLUMBUS, OHIO January 8, 2007 Now Software today announced the next
generation of its cross-platform group calendar and contact
management software, which will be previewed at Macworld Expo being
held this week at Moscone Center in San Francisco. The new product,
codenamed "NightHawk", is an integrated application that builds upon
the calendar and contact management functionality provided by Now
Software's acclaimed Now Up-to-Date & Contact software. NightHawk's
official name will be announced at a later date. NightHawk merges the
functionality of calendar and contact management into one integrated,
cross-platform application, with server access for groups and
administration. NightHawk will be available for the Macintosh (10.3.9
and higher, including 10.5 "Leopard") and Windows (XP, NT, and Vista).

"As a leader in the contact and calendar management software market,
we decided the time was right to completely rebuild our core product,
using the latest technology to provide improved scalability,
reliability, and superior performance," said John Wallace, president
of Now Software. "Our new architecture allows us not only to provide
contact and calendar features, but also to build new product modules
that will provide our customers with more comprehensive solutions for
running their businesses, schools, and organizations."

NightHawk provides a complete solution for managing events, tasks,
and contacts. Its single-application design allows for seamless
integration of data, a streamlined user interface, and flexible
display and print options. NightHawk is designed to support major
Apple technologies and provides seamless migration from previous
versions of Now Up-to-Date & Contact as well as iCalendar,
AddressBook, vCard, and other standard formats. Sharing data between
the computer and personal devices, such as PDAs, iPods and cell
phones, makes key business data portable and ready to access. Robust
database technology and comprehensive administration tools support
organizations up to thousands of users.

Pricing and Availability

NightHawk is being previewed at Macworld Expo at the Moscone Center
in San Francisco from January 9th through 12th. Now Software is
located at booth number 2634 in the South Hall. Macworld Expo
attendees will be able to see a sneak peak of the new features and
demonstrations of the application.

NightHawk's official product name will be announced before the
product's release in Spring 2007. The NightHawk calendar & contact
module will be available for $149.95 per license. Owners of Now
Up-to-Date & Contact Version 5.0 and later can upgrade for $69.95 per
license when NightHawk becomes available. For a limited time, current
customers of Now Up-to-Date & Contact V5.X may purchase one-year
maintenance agreements for $39.95 per license, which provide free
upgrades to new versions of Now Up-to-Date & Contact and the
NightHawk calendar & contact module for one year from the date of
purchase of the maintenance agreement.
