Now Up-to-Date & Contact Version 4

Now Up-to-Date & Contact Version 4 Makes World Premiere at
Macintosh Business Expo in Portland Today

Columbus, Ohio - May 2, 2001 - Power On Software, Inc. today announced the
world premiere of its new version of Now Up-to-Date & Contact, the number
one selling contact manager and scheduler in the history of the Mac. The
debut of the feature-packed new release will take place at the Macintosh
Business Expo, sponsored by The Computer Store Northwest and Apple
Computer, Inc. The update, version 4.0, is slated for release this month,
and includes a bevy of new features, including the following:

* Additional user-definable custom fields to allow easier storage of
additional information

* Additional Internet/email/phone fields to handle multiple email
addresses, URL addresses, and communications data

* Full TCP/IP implementation for support of firewalls and NAT routing

* Ability to attach graphics to contact records (maps, pictures, logos,
business cards, etc.)

* HTML Help System support

* Completely redesigned and updated interface, including user-definable
background patterns, new toolbars, custom color selection

* Speed enhancements of up to 50x and capacity increase to 2 billion contacts

* Auto-dialing of contact phone numbers

* Shared keywords in multi-user environment

* Ability to open multiple files and multiple contacts

* New AlphaBar for instantaneous access to contacts in list view

* New calendar views added

* Enhanced AppleScript support

* Support for Microsoft Office 2001, including drag and drop support and
mail merge integration

* QuickFilter for instantaneous selection of contact records in list view,
without opening a search window

* Support for Macintosh Systems from 8.6 through OS X Classic mode

In addition, Power On will announce a blockbuster feature at the time of
shipment that will make Now Up-to-Date & Contact the single, indispensable
focal point and mission control center for all Macintosh operations.

The new version will be priced at $129.95 and upgrades will be $49.95.
Users who purchase between the date of this announcement and the release
date will receive a free upgrade to version 4. Anyone who has purchased a
copy on or after February 15th will also receive a free upgrade.
