Nexsan Introduces First High Density, Energy Efficient Storage For Apple
Xserve Market, Flexible Storage Solution Ideal for Real-Time HDTV, High
Quality Video Editing Applications

SATABeast Xi Delivers 42TB in Only 4U for Apple and Mixed OS Environments

Thousand Oaks, Calif., Feb. 9, 2007 - Nexsan, a leading provider of energy
efficient disk-based storage systems designed for the long-term storage of
information, today announced the SATABeast Xi, the first high density,
energy efficient storage solution built and optimized for the Apple Xserve
and Mac Pro markets.

The SATABeast Xi is the highest density storage solution available
today, providing up to 42TB of storage in only 4U of rack space, and the
only one of its caliber in the Xserve market featuring AutoMAID (Massive
Array of Idle Disks). AutoMAID allows SATABeast Xi to place its disk drives
in an idle state to conserve energy yet provide near-instantaneous access
to data.

Additionally, SATABeast Xi is the only storage solution delivering
dual function Fibre Channel and iSCSI connectivity at wire-speed
performance, making it flexible, scalable and completely OS independent to
easily support a broad range of storage and computing infrastructures.

While optimized and designed specifically for the Apple Xserve and
Mac Pro, complementing those environments both physically and with its
easy-to-use GUI that will be familiar to Leopard OS users, the Nexsan
SATABeast Xi also is an ideal storage solution for mixed environments.

The SATABeast Xi is designed for primary storage of large data set
applications like uncompressed, real-time HDTV as well as multi-stream and
analog TV signals and high-quality video editing with no frame drops. It
also is ideal for secondary storage applications and disk-to-disk backup in
which online access to data delivers superior business continuity and data
protection as well as instant access to large volumes of data.

"The SATABeast Xi is a natural evolution of our highly flexible,
scalable SATABeast product," said Bob Woolery, senior vice president of
marketing, Nexsan. "Xserve directly targets one of our sweet spots in the
market - data intensive multimedia applications that require the highest
reliability and instantaneous access."

SATABeast Xi is available exclusively through Nexsan's network of
value added resellers (VAR) and provides them and select systems
integrators, specifically those with a focus on multimedia and rich
content, a high density, high performance storage solution that is
optimized for both Xserve and multi-OS environments.

"Our customers produce the highest-quality, rich media content
including HD television programming and feature length movies, and have
been challenging us to develop a rock-solid storage solution for Xserve and
other environments," said Chris Donoyan, President and Founder of HomeRun
Media, a leading systems integrator in the media and entertainment market
located in Los Angeles. "We've never had an available solution like
SATABeast Xi that delivers high density storage and energy savings all in
one package for both fibre channel and iSCSI. When you put those features
together with Nexsan's incredible price performance, this is has the
potential to be a major force for rich media storage in the Xserve market
and beyond."

Based on the proven technology of Nexsan's award-winning SATABeast,
the SATABeast Xi provides Xserve users a high density, plug and play
solution that is complementary to Xserve's existing storage options.
SATABeast Xi delivers high end performance at the same exceptional price
point as Nexsan's current SATABeast solutions, with pricing starting at
$1,200/TB. This pricing includes all the energy efficiency features and
software licenses required to operate SATABeast Xi out of the box.

Nexsan SATABeast Xi is available starting March 15 through Nexsan's
network of VARs.
