MySQLConnect for 4D 1.0.2

Paris, France - October 25th, 2001: 4ee4, today announced the release of
updated version of MySQLConnect for 4D 1.0.2 (MacOS & Windows).
MySQLConnect for 4D is a 4th Dimension plugin which provides connection
routines between 4th Dimension-4D Server-4D Runtime-4D Runtime Classic- 4D
Engine applications and MySQL Database Servers.

- A few bugs fixed
- MySQL_Execute & MySQL_Select take now a TEXT type 2nd parameter to
provide very long queries.

Using MySQLConnect for 4D, 4D developers have a set of 4D routines to manage=

- Connections to/Disconnection from MySQL Database Servers
- Structure SQL queries (Create/Alter/Drop Database & Tables)
- Data SQL queries (Insert/Update/Delete data)
- Administration SQL queries (Grant/Revoke permissions)
- Support for 4D datatypes including BLOB & PICTURE data types
- Internal mechanisms to manage simple quotes used in SQL queries

Using MySQLConnect for 4D, 4D developers can create well designed systems
to manage, exchange, and synchronize 4D applications with eBusiness web
hosted solutions, or simply use 4D as a GUI generator for distant MySQL
systems.

MySQLConnect for 4D 1.0 doesn't use any external library to work with MySQL
Database Servers.

MySQLConnect only works with 4D 6.7. It works with both MacOS Classic &
Windows,
and a Carbon release is planned. It may be later adapted for earlier
versions of 4D.

MySQLConnect for 4D 1.0 is the first release in a suite of data management
oriented 4D Plugins that will be released soon by 4ee4. They are being
