Internet, today announced the launch of Media 100 CineStream, the
industry's first software-based interactive streaming media authoring
solution for web developers and professional content creators. With the
release of CineStream, Media 100 is enabling a broader range of customers
to create and deliver superior quality, highly-interactive streaming media
programs for delivery over the Internet. CineStream, the next evolution of
the award-winning content creation solution, EditDV, is built on Media
100's flagship Streaming Media Workflow model, which enables the
development of video programs specifically designed for the interactive
nature of the Internet and is ideally suited for customers entering the
burgeoning streaming media marketplace. "Media 100 CineStream is an

Media 100 CineStream: One-Stop Interactive Streaming Media Authoring

Available for both Windows and Macintosh platforms, Media 100 CineStream
leverages several key streaming media technologies developed by Media 100
that enable users to capture video content directly from digital video (DV)
sources, edit video content with speed and precision, author compelling
interactive elements directly into the editing timeline and encode the
final product in all major streaming media formats, including Windows
Media, RealSystems, QuickTime and MPEG-1.

EventStream Support

A significant feature of Media 100 CineStream is its timeline integration
of EventStream authoring tools that enable the creation of interactive
streaming content. EventStream enables web designers to embed interactive
instructions directly into streaming media programs to trigger highly
visual, content-rich capabilities, including graphics, Flash animations,
Java applications - all synchronized with the streaming video on the web
site. EventStream supports direct output of QuickTime interactive streaming
media files and direct export to Cleaner 5 for production of interactive
streaming media in RealSystems and Windows Media formats - all directly
from the timeline.

Special Effects and Animation Features

Media 100 CineStream also includes a number of key features that enable the
creation of the highest quality streaming content in the industry,
including:

--"Pan and Scan" capability for eliminating unwanted portions of video images

--Pan, zoom and rotate with true perspective

--Picture-in-picture with crop

--Multiple composition support

--On-the-fly, editable submaster creation enables simultaneous creation of
multiple versions of the same video program

--Unlimited titles with backgrounds and shadows, independent control of
gradient colors and transparency, rotation and fill-with-video effects

--Create, save and re-use effects and transitions

--Unlimited keyframes of any parameter

--Unlimited video and effects layers

--2D, 3D and keying effects for video layering

--200+ SMPTE standard and user-customized transitions

--128 MB of RAM

--16-bit graphics capability

--CD-ROM or DVD drive

--Microsoft Windows 98/2000/ME

--Hard drive capable of sustaining 5MB/sec transfer rate

Macintosh OS System Requirements

--Macintosh with 604 processor or later and an available PCI slot

--128 MB of RAM

--16-bit graphics capability

--CD-ROM or DVD drive

--Mac OS 8.6 or later

Pricing and Availability

Media 100 CineStream will be available in February and will be priced at
$499. Media 100 CineStream will also be available online from the Media 100
Online Store (www.media100.com) and will be priced at $479. Media 100
CineStream will be available to registered users of EditDV or MotoDV for
$149.
