MDG Announces LiveSync4D - Adds Sync'ing, Replicating,
Redundancy and Scalability to the 4D Product Line

Cary, IL October 18, 2002 -- MDG Computer Services, Inc, a leading 4D
Developer has announced a new 4D Component that provides real-time
sync'ing, replicating, redundancy and scalability to the 4D product line.
This new powerful 4D component is simple to install into existing 4D
databases.

"LiveSync4D is an exciting new 4D Component that finally allows anyone
running 4D or 4D Server to create real-time backups of their mission
critical databases," said Michael Ginsberg, president of MDG Computer
Services, Inc. "Being able to have a 4D Runtime sync'd from a 4D Server
allows you to quickly restore a corrupted data file, without having to run
4D Tools. Also, if you have any type of web server based in 4D, you can
finally keep a real-time backup without having to shut down your web site."

LiveSync4D is compatible with 4D, 4D Server, 4D Runtime Classic, and 4D
Engine and uses TCP/IP for communication. Using TCP/IP, the sync'd servers
can be available anywhere. LiveSync4D uses either Internet-ToolKit (ITK),
or 4D Internet Commands for communication.

Availability

Currently a public beta of LiveSync4D is available for download.
A compiled demo is available which will allow you to try LiveSync4D with
out demo database. A 4D Component is also available which can be installed
into your existing 4D databases for testing without having to purchase a
registration code. Without a registration code, LiveSync4D will function
for 2 hours.

LiveSync4D Version 1.0 is expected to be available in the coming weeks. For
