[MD1] WebSTAR 2.0.2 Released

The StarNine Division of Quarterdeck is proud to announce the release of
WebSTAR 2.0.2.

WebSTAR 2.0.2 includes many important Plug-In enhancements beyond that of
WebSTAR 2.0.1. WebSTAR 2.0.2 is a free upgrade for users of WebSTAR 2.0.
If you are a current WebSTAR 2.0 user, you are invited to upgrade to
WebSTAR 2.0.2 by downloading the updater archive available at
(http://www.starnine.com/webstar/webstarupdates.html).

You can download the full WebSTAR 2.0.2 Installer at
(ftp://ftp.starnine.com/pub/evals/webstar/webstar.sea.hqx).

If you are a registered user of WebSTAR and have not yet upgraded to
WebSTAR 2.0, now is the time! Registered users can upgrade online at
(http://www.starnine.com/upgrade/), or by calling (510) 649-4949.

Changes and fixes for WebSTAR 2.0.2

NOTE: No changes where made in the 2.0.2 release to either the WebSTAR or
WebSTAR/SSL server applications. Consequently, the WebSTAR server version
still displays 2.0.

NOTE: The Plug-In version numbers have been increased to coincide with the
WebSTAR version release number.

WebSTAR Auto BinHex
* Added support for asynchronous processing and eliminated CPU hogging
during reads and writes.
* Fixed file suffix verification code.
* Added alias resolution support.
* Improved Error handling.

WebSTAR Data Cache
* Fixed a bug that corrupts non-cached files served to the client.
* Corrected problems with mounted read-only Windows NT volumes.
* Improved Error handling.

WebSTAR Directory Indexer
* Improved directory index interface.
* Added multiple display options on Admin page.
* Corrected URL encoding errors.
* Fixed RAW redirection Index file returns.
* Added support for Index files processed by other Plug-Ins or CGIs.
* Improved Error handling.
* Improved File Upload interface.
* Added support for ".footer" files for the displaying of items below the
directory index display.

WebSTAR File Upload
* Added support for asynchronous processing.
* Improved performance allowing for multiple uploads, simultaneous web access.
* Fixed file naming problems.
* Uploaded files can now optionally replace files with the same name.
* Uploaded files will now be assigned, based upon the suffix used in the
files name, the appropriate Type and Creator codes as defined in Suffix
Mappings.

WebSTAR Image Map
* Removed reliance on QuickDraw. Can now be used with WebSTAR BG servers.
* Added alias resolution support to and of ".map" files.
* Added support for NCSA "point".

WebSTAR Log Roller
* Added support for asynchronous processing and eliminated CPU hogging
during reads and writes.
* Improved log rolling reliability.
* Added support for relative and absolute log paths, as specified in the
WebSTAR Admin.
* WebSTAR.log may now be an alias pointing to the log file.
* Changed the name of the archived logs folder from "Archived_Logs" to
"Archived Logs".

WebSTAR SSI
* Added support for extended character set conversion into ISO Latin-1
entities.
* Launching a CGI no longer puts WebSTAR in the background.
* Improved Error handling.
* Changed "#exec cgi" command to "#exec script", which now strings the
header and processes the results through SSI.
* Added the "#exec cgi" command which allows CGIs to be called via their
Suffix and Action.
* Added new "SSIParse" service that returns result in a string.
* All file references now resolve file and folder aliases.
* Added support for new "#hide" and "#show" capabilities while preserving
the old functionality.
