DIT ANNOUNCES NEW TRANSFERPRO FOR UNIX RELEASE
File Transfer Software Supports Latest UNIX Implementations
Compatible with All Popular Removable Media

LOS ALAMOS, NM (February 12, 1998) Digital Instrumentation Technology,
Inc. (DIT) announces availability of TransferPro for UNIX Release 4. The
latest version of its award-winning high-speed file transfer software
enables users to read and write all popular removable Macintosh and DOS
formatted media directly from their UNIX workstation at SCSI speeds, and to
easily interchange data between different types of UNIX computers.

Ideal for pre-press, desktop publishing and other digital imaging
applications, the latest version of TransferPro for UNIX Release 4 is
compatible with all the latest UNIX implementations including Solaris 2.6,
and the latest removable media including 4.6 GB magneto-optical drives, 1.5
GB Syjet, and Iomega Jaz. With the new release, TransferPro for UNIX also
supports multiple Macintosh partitions of up to 4 GB per partition.

TransferPro for UNIX Release 4 provides full Japanese language support.
Users may now transfer Kanji and Katakana scripted files between Macintosh
and Motif SGI UNIX systems with the software.

Further increasing the versatility of the software, long filenames are
retained when transferring files between UNIX and DOS-based systems. In
addition, TransferPro for UNIX now supports transferring files between DOS
partitions of up to 2GB and all standard UNIX implementations.

TransferPro for UNIX is faster than a network when copying large files
between workstations and personal computers, commented Robert Justice,
president of Digital Instrumentation Technology. e It provides
multi-architecture environments a fast and efficient means of transferring
data between computers. TransferPro is ideal for transferring files from
graphic studios to service bureaus.

With TransferPro, users can copy, move, rename and delete files and
directories, including multilevel directory structures and easily and
quickly initialize Macintosh and MS-DOS cartridges and disks.

file server systems such as Helios EtherShare, IPT u-Share Partner, and
Xinet K-AShare. TransferPro for UNIX also conforms to the AppleSingle and
