LIVE SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR BORLAND'S JBUILDER 2

-- Live Software Java Servlet Products to Support JBuilder 2 --

SAN FRANCISCO -- March 24, 1998 -- Live Software, Inc. today announced
ServletDebugger 2.0, an enhanced version of its acclaimed servlet support
tool, for Borland International, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:BORL) JBuilder 2, the new
version of Borland's award-winning family of visual development tools for
building corporate and enterprise software applications with the Java
programming language. Both announcements were made as a part of Sun
Microsystem's JavaOne developer conference being held here this week (booth
#527.)

ServletDebugger 2.0 allows for the testing and debugging of Java Servlet
code from within the JBuilder development environment. ServletDebugger 2
has an integrated server and servlet engine, allowing for real-world
testing of servlet code without leaving the development environment. Java
Servlets are platform-independent, server-side programs written using the
Java Servlet API, part of the Java platform. Java Servlets bring the power
of "Write Once, Run Anywhere," Safe Network Delivery, and Smart Card to
Supercomputer scalability to server-side extensions. Traditional CGI
applications and extensions written in Perl, C/C++, or other languages, can
be replaced through the use of servlets. By using Servlets as an
extensible, well-defined cross-platform environment, sophisticated
applications for both client and server become easier to develop, faster to
deploy and more cost effective to maintain.

"We are pleased to provide servlet support for JBuilder 2, the premier Java
development system," said Paul Colton, President of Live Software.
"JBuilder customers will now be able to speed up their development process
and write client/server applications faster and easier with the new
ServletDebugger 2.0."

"Live Software is the leading provider of servlet technology and its
integration with JBuilder is seamless," said Zack Urlocker, Borland's vice
president of marketing. "Live Software's tools will let our customers more
quickly develop and deploy their enterprise and client/server
applications."

Pricing and Availability
ServletDebugger 2 is available now from Live Software's web site at
http://www.livesoftware.com and is priced at $195 per developer seat.
Additionally, a white paper entitled "Building Java Servlets with JBuilder"
will be available from Live Software's web site at no cost.

development tools, and the ability to produce "100% Pure Java"
platform-independent applications, applets, servlets, and JavaBeans. The
