FULCRUM DELIVERS SEARCHSERVER SUPPORT FOR POWER MAC
SearchServer Version 3.5 Roll-Out Continues

Ottawa, Canada, December 2, 1996 -- Fulcrum Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:
FULCF; TSE: FUL) today announced support for the Apple Computer, Inc.
Power Macintosh as part of the continuing roll-out of SearchServer 3.5.
The support comes in the form of a Fulcrum Software Development Kit, which
allows SearchServer users to port their applications to Power Mac clients.
The product is commercially available now.

Fulcrum provides products that "bridge the islands of information in an
enterprise," said Peter Klante, vice president of marketing at Fulcrum. "A
multi-platform approach is absolutely key to our strategy, and support for
Apple Macintosh clients is of particular importance to our customers in the
publishing market. With this SDK, our customers will be able to bring all
of the enhancements of the latest version of SearchServer to a Macintosh
audience."

"We are pleased to see Fulcrum delivering products for the Mac OS
platform," said Heidi Roizen, vice president of Apple Developer Relations.
"Fulcrum is a leading player in information search and retrieval software.
They clearly recognize the value of Macintosh users and are delivering
powerful new features with this release."

"Just about everything is new in this release," said Dave Haskins,
Fulcrum's vice president of research and development. "For example,
SearchServer is now PowerPC native, uses Code Fragment Manager and supports
Open Transport. We think this will be important to our customers who want
to develop high quality Power Macintosh applications."

About SearchServer
At the core of Fulcrum's product family is Fulcrum SearchServer, robust,

applications that combine seamlessly with customers' existing information
systems.
