NeoLogic Expands Management Team:
Surinder Brar Joins Company as Vice President of Marketing and Sales
BERKELEY, CA - March 9 , 1998 - NeoLogic Systems today announced that
Surinder Brar has joined the company as its vice president of marketing and
sales. Mr. Brar will manage all sales and marketing activity for the
company, including strategic planning, product positioning, business
development and channel sales.
"We're very excited to expand our organization to include someone with
Surinder's background," said Bob Krause, NeoLogic president and founder.
"His experience with both enterprise level application vendors and database
tools suppliers ideally suits our focus on component level database
architectures."
Mr. Brar brings more than twenty years of industry experience to the
NeoLogic management team. He served as vice president of marketing and
sales for WordTech Systems, until the company's database technology was
acquired by Borland International in 1992. Since then, he has worked with
IA Corporation which provides check processing and remittance processing
applications to major financial institutions and with OpenNow Technologies,
a start-up company which develops internet applications for managing
web-based marketing and sales processes.
"I have always believed that object-oriented applications would be better
served with object databases because then the object abstraction can be
naturally extended to the data layer," said Surinder Brar. "NeoLogic has
the best object database technology on the market today and we want to make
it truly pervasive. We want our database to be embedded into every
application requiring high performance management of complex data."
