HIGHWARE SHIPS MULTIHOME 2.0,
ITS MULTI-HOMING & ROUND ROBIN SOFTWARE FOR THE MACINTOSH

Brussels, October 25, 1996. - Highware announces the latest version of
MultiHome, its multi-homing software for WebSTAR servers.

This internet utility allows a webmaster to control multiple domain
names on a single computer. MultiHome saves you the hassle and cost of
using multiple computers. With only one IP address, you can serve as
many home pages as you want from a single Macintosh. Thanks to its easy
configuration, only basic HTML notions are required to set it up.

New features
------------
* Easier configuration: MultiHome must no longer be activated from
within particular HTML files.
* Use of the 'Host' field provided by recent browsers such as Netscape
2, Explorer for Windows 3, Explorer for Macintosh 2.1. When browsers who
support the Host field are used, which is the case in more than 90%,
redirection to the correct page happens instantly. The Back button of
these browsers will now also execute as expected.
* An unlimited number of Home Pages.
* "Bring WebSTAR to Front" and "Close WebSTAR Status": The WebSTAR
application displays the Web pages at a much higher speed when it is the
foreground application and when its Status window is closed. With
MultiHome, bringing WebSTAR to the foreground and closing the WebSTAR
Status window can be executed automatically, at predefined intervals.
* "Rename WebSTAR Log" and "Move Log to ...": The "Rename WebSTAR Log"
feature allows you to rename the log file for archival after a
predefined period. After MultiHome does this, WebSTAR immedialtely
creates a new log file to continue its logging activities.
* Complete independence towards NetCloak.

Improved
--------
* Much faster than previous versions, PowerPC native.
* The "Round Robin" feature allows a Webmaster to redirect one Domain
Name to different Home Pages, each located on its respective mirror
site. The Home Page to which the person who requests access to the site
will be redirected, is chosen either randomly or cyclically.

MultiHome is an application and consequently does not alter the System
in any way. When MultiHome detects access to one of the home pages, it
automatically redirects the call to another address. The addresses are
specified with a full URL including sub-directories.
Adding a new home page is effective immediately, there is no need to
restart the Macintosh. To easily control access to the home pages,
MultiHome includes a status window that displays a list of all accesses
to each redirected page plus a counter per page.

System requirements: Mac OS System 7.0 or later, MacTCP or Open
Transport, 200K of free RAM and a WebSTAR server.

To obtain a demo version, you can either download it from
http://www.highware.com/multiHome/ or you can contact Highware at
info@highware.com and ask to send you the demo. MultiHome is priced at
$189 and can be ordered directly on the Highware web site. Registered
users of previous version can obtain a free upgrade.
