[MD1] Metrowerks Listens and Acts with Special Offer

Subject: Metrowerks Listens and Acts with Special Offer
From: Ron Liechty (mwron@metrowerks.com)

After a review Metrowerks has altered its policy in regards to
bundling the Macintosh and Windows CD's for our current CodeWarrior
users. This decision was made not because of any legal reason but
because it was the fair and just thing to do. Metrowerks values our
customers more than any other business that I know. As soon as we
heard from our customers we revisited the policy.

Dear Valued Customer:

We are sending this WarriorGram today to inform you of our recent
company announcements, also posted at http://www.metrowerks.com
concerning our change in product policies and a special offer to
renew your license before June 30, 1999.

CodeWarrior change in delivery.

CodeWarrior Professional for the Macintosh operating system and the
Windows operating system will now be released as two,
platform-specific products. The separation of the product becomes
effective in June of 1999 with Release 5 of CodeWarrior for Mac OS,
Professional Edition and Release 5 of CodeWarrior for Windows,
Professional Edition. Thereafter, Metrowerks will issue a release of
each product annually, with incremental updates available throughout
the year. These "Factory Updates" will be downloadable from the
company's website.

If you are an existing CodeWarrior Pro 4 user, you will receive both
the Mac and Windows hosted Release 5 CDs as part of your update plan.

New Releases To Support Java RAD Tools

Release 5 of CodeWarrior for Mac OS and Release 5 of CodeWarrior for
Windows will include Java Rapid Application development (RAD) tools,
with GUI builders and wizards. Both products will ship in June so
don't forget to renew now to receive Release 5!

Special Offer: Renew Your CodeWarrior License Before June 30 and
Receive BOTH Desktop Products!

From now until June 30, 1999, existing CodeWarrior customers can
renew their license and receive Release 5 of BOTH CodeWarrior for Mac
OS and CodeWarrior for Windows. After June 30, renewing customers
will receive their choice of either platform-specific product.
