TERRAN INTERACTIVE ANNOUNCES
MEDIA CLEANER PRO 3.0

Las Vegas, NV, NAB Expo '98, (April 6, 1998) With today's announcement of
Media Cleaner Pro 3.0, Terran Interactive is reaffirming its commitment to
provide top quality tools to the multimedia, Web, and professional video
market. The latest version of Terran's award-winning program, Media Cleaner
Pro 3.0, supports the most challenging digital video compression needs of
broadcast, corporate, Web and multimedia developers. New features include
unique and powerful support for Apple Computer's cross-platform QuickTime
3, still image processing and a new interface that allows developers to
further streamline their workflow.

"At CNN, we rely upon Media Cleaner to produce video for our site on a
daily basis. Version 3.0 promises to be even more powerful," said Bruce
Cox, Multimedia Development Manager, CNN Interactive. "Media Cleaner's new
features will allow us to better integrate it into our workflow. Cleaner's
unique advanced features for Quicktime 3 and the new Sorenson and QDesign
technologies mean that we can dramatically improve the experience for
everyone that visits our site. The possibilities presented are very
exciting. It's reassuring to know that Media Cleaner is there as we
incorporate the latest technologies."

The desktop video market is poised to reach new levels in 1998 and the
advent of a fully cross-platform version of QuickTime is a major force
behind this change. For the first time both Mac and Windows content
providers can produce substantially higher quality audio and video for
delivery on CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, intranets, and the Web. "One of QuickTime's
greatest strengths is that it makes it easy for developers to deliver
content over a wide array of media - from digital video, to CD-ROM, to the
Web, and across all personal computing platforms," said Mitchell Weinstock,
senior QuickTime product manager at Apple Computer. "With the introduction
of Media Cleaner Pro 3.0, Terran Interactive is providing developers with a
powerful application that allows them to maximize the powerful capabilities
QuickTime brings to digital video. This is great news."

About Media Cleaner Pro 3.0
Media Cleaner Pro 3.0 is a dedicated media optimization and compression
tool. Media Cleaner reads a wide range of formats and outputs QuickTime,
RealVideo, RealAudio, DV, AIFF, WAV, and still images for delivery on the
Web, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, kiosk, or intranet. Version 3.0 introduces many new
features that include cutting edge support for QuickTime 3, still image
processing and a redesigned interface, which provides developers more
control. For more information about Media Cleaner, interested parties
should visit (http://www.terran.com).

QuickTime 3 Support
The latest version of Apple Computer's QuickTime architecture represents a
major step forward for desktop video. Media Cleaner provides developer
support for important QuickTime 3 features such as Alternate Movie creation
and the ability to embed URL tags at the end of a movie. In addition, Media
Cleaner offers unique support for the Sorenson Video Codec and QDesign
Music Codec. Version 3.0 provides exclusive access to Variable Bitrate
Control features of the Sorenson Video codec and is the only tool available
that enables developers to batch process the QDesign Music codec.

Still Image Processing
Version 3.0 of Media Cleaner Pro is the first release to support still
image processing. Developers can now use Media Cleaner Pro to quickly
optimize and batch compress all of their audio, video and graphic files for
new media such as DVD-ROM and the World-Wide-Web. Media Cleaner reads all
popular formats and outputs JPEG, GIF and PICT files. An Adobe PhotoshopR
compatible GIF Export module is required for GIF production.

More Powerful Features and Workflow Management Improved batch processing,
settings management and an elegant new interface provide developers a
higher level of control and ease-of-use. The new interface combines several
process windows found in previous versions, making Media Cleaner more
intuitive. With Media Cleaner's improved settings management, settings are
easier to create and manipulate. They can also be shared with others. Data
rate graphs, manual key frame insertion and the ability to set in and out
points provide a higher degree of control.

Pricing and Availability
Media Cleaner Pro 3.0 will ship on May 15, 1998 and will be available for
the Mac* OS. The product can be purchased for a street price of $359 (U.S.)
directly from Terran or through resellers and mail order catalogs.
Registered owners of earlier versions of Media Cleaner Pro can upgrade for
$129.

System Requirements
Macintosh or compatible with 040 processor or better. PowerMac strongly
recommended and required for RealMedia support. A minimum of 8 Mb of
application RAM and 4 Mb of hard disk space. Apple Computer Macintosh
System 7.0 and QuickTime 2.5 or better. Single speed CD-ROM drive and a 256
color monitor. To output GIF images with Media Cleaner, developers must
