Advis Introduces Mantle for SAP R/3 to Sapphire Attendees

Product Provides First Bridge Between WebObjects and SAP R/3, Gives
Developers Access to Industry-Leading Web Application Tool

SAPPHIRE, ORLANDO, Fla. -- Advis today introduced Mantle for SAP R/3 to
attendees at Sapphire. The Mantle software gives SAP web application
developers the ability to web-enable SAP using Apple's WebObjects, the
leading web application development solution from Apple Computer. Mantle is
the first to link the object-based development environment of Apple's
WebObjects with SAP's robust capabilities for handling large-scale business
applications.

Mantle's suite of object-oriented framework design tools streamlines how
developers build and deploy web applications for SAP R/3 applications.
Developers can now leverage SAP R/3's existing communications mechanism for
cross-platform, multi-tier architecture design. Mantle is available for all
platforms supported by WebObjects, including Windows NT, Solaris, HP-UX and
the future Rhapsody from Apple Computer.

Three Components Speed Development

Mantle is fully integrated with WebObjects, Apple's multi-platform
application server and development environment, recognized for its ability
to help developers quickly create extremely flexible enterprise web
applications.

Mantle has three highly integrated components that extend WebObjects:

* The Enterprise Objects Framework (EOF) adapter provides data transport
and messaging between a WebObjects server and an R/3 system. This
streamlines the R/3 log-in and user authentication process.

* The Enterprise Objects framework maps the object structure of a
WebObjects application to SAP R/3 business objects and their associated
BAPI and RFC interfaces. This lets developers link the objects used in a
dynamic web application with SAP business data.

* A graphical WebObjects palette of SAP-enabled objects that provides drag
and drop association with standard HTML components, including text fields,
drop-down boxes and tables, streamlining web page design.

Availability and Pricing

Mantle is available from Advis' consulting solutions group and other
qualified consulting organizations. Mantle developer configurations have a
list price ranging from $1,995 for an individual license to $39,995 for a
department license. Mantle server configurations have a list price ranging
from $14,995 for a workgroup deployment license to $149,000 for an
enterprise license.
