BLUE WORLD ANNOUNCES LASSO 2.1
Upgrade to include plug-in tag architecture and advanced business features

BELLEVUE, WA - September 8, 1997 - Blue World Communications, Inc. today
announced Lasso 2.1, an upgrade adding advanced, professional Web database
publishing features to FileMaker Pro for Mac OS from Claris Corporation.

"Lasso 2.1 enhances the integrated Lasso technology in FileMaker Pro 4.0,
providing a comprehensive, sophisticated Internet business solution for
users of the new FileMaker Pro version and allowing seamless Web database
publishing for customers who continue to use FileMaker Pro 3.0," said Blue
World President & CEO Bill Doerrfeld.

Key among the new features in Lasso 2.1 is a plug-in architecture that
allows easy addition of new tags and support of the FileMaker Pro 4.0 tag
syntax. Customers who have developed solutions using FileMaker Pro 4.0 can
easily move to Lasso 2.1's added features without modifying their current
solutions. For example, a sample solution included with FileMaker Pro 4.0
can have Lasso tags added to it without having to convert the FileMaker Pro
4.0 tags to their Lasso equivalents.

The output of any Lasso tag can now be used as the input to any other Lasso
tag, allowing remarkably sophisticated interaction between tags. Other new
features include a number of new tags (loop, math, variable, string
processing), a "response field" to store Lasso format files within
FileMaker Pro for additional data handling control, field level logical
operators (and, or, not) and multi-homing support for serving several
different Web sites from one server.

The additional features make Lasso 2.1 the perfect Web database publishing
solution for businesses and individuals creating Web sites that require
complex search criteria. Lasso is already the leading solution for Web
database publishing with FileMaker Pro for Mac OS. Lasso 2.0, the current
version released in July, both Web- and Java-enables databases with
numerous sophisticated features; Lasso 2.0 Server adds a stand-alone Web
server.

A subset of Lasso 2.0 technology is embedded into the forthcoming Claris
FileMaker Pro 4.0, also announced today. More details are available on Blue
World's Web site at www.blueworld.com.

Lasso technology being embedded in Claris' forthcoming FileMaker Pro 4.0. A

Pricing and Availability
Lasso 2.1 will be available in the fourth quarter of 1997 from select
resellers and Blue World (http://www.blueworld.com/lasso/order/).

Pricing for Lasso 2.1 CGI/Plug-in and Lasso 2.1 Server has not yet been
set. Customers who purchase any version of Lasso 2.0 between now and Lasso
2.1's release will qualify for a free upgrade upon registration. Special
upgrade pricing will be available for registered Lasso 1.x and 2.0
customers (purchases prior to September 8, 1997), and for registered owners
of Claris FileMaker Pro 4.0.
