ALADDIN SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES THE JUST STUFFIT DEVELOPERS PROGRAM FOR SHAREWARE
AND FREEWARE DEVELOPERS

Aladdin Supports Shareware And Freeware Developers With
Special Marketing Opportunities

Watsonville, CA - June 30 1998- Aladdin Systems announced today the "Just
StuffIt(tm) Developers Program" for shareware and freeware developers. The
Just StuffIt Developers Program is a unique marketing opportunity designed
to provide added exposure, broaden software distribution, and ease the
financial burden of product development for shareware and freeware
developers.

"The Just StuffIt Developers Program is founded on Aladdin's commitment to
the shareware and freeware philosophy of software development," said
Jonathan Kahn, vice president of sales and business development. "This
program supports dynamic and integral players in the software industry by
offering new marketing opportunities to help build awareness and generate
sales of their products, which is one of the greatest challenges for a
shareware and freeware developer."

The Just StuffIt Developers Program Benefits
* Free one-year StuffIt InstallerMaker(tm) license for proven shareware and
freeware products
* Free technical support from Aladdin Systems
* Opportunity for worldwide distribution on Aladdin's commercial product CDs
* Potential link from Aladdin's Web site to qualified shareware or freeware
developer's Web site

Free StuffIt InstallerMaker License For One Year
To assist the creative process and help alleviate the financial burden to
shareware and freeware developers, Aladdin will waive the license fee for
the use of StuffIt InstallerMaker for one year. InstallerMaker is the
software distribution and installation standard on the Macintosh. Version
5.0, slated to release early July 1998, creates complex installers easily,
with the support of hierarchical packages and sub-level assignments.

Free Technical Support
Aladdin has always provided free technical support to registered users of
InstallerMaker. This support will continue to be provided free to members
of the Just StuffIt Developers Program.

Worldwide Software Distribution
Aladdin Systems develops and markets several award-winning commercial
software products that are distributed worldwide. Aladdin will add
shareware and freeware products selectively chosen from its Just StuffIt
Developers Program as third-party products on its commercial product CDs.

Links From Aladdin's Web site
Aladdin's Web site receives thousands of visits daily. Selected developers
will have the opportunity to obtain a link from the Aladdin Web site to
theirs, bringing additional exposure and potential sales for their product.

Availability and Requirements
Aladdin reserves the right to determine which shareware or freeware
developers' products qualify for the co-marketing opportunities. The free,
one-year license of InstallerMaker is valid for distributing the qualifying
member's shareware and/or freeware only.

This offer is not for distributing commercial trialware or evaluation
versions of commercial software. Software given away as a part of a larger
commercial effort does not qualify for this offer.

For more information on the Just StuffIt Developers Program, visit
(http://www.aladdinsys.com/developers/installermaker/juststuffit.html) or
contact an Aladdin representative at (dev.program@aladdinsys.com).

InstallerMaker is distributed electronically at Aladdin's Web site at
(http://www.aladdinsys.com/developers/installermaker/index.html). License
InstallerMaker directly from Aladdin. InstallerMaker requires a Macintosh
compatible computer running System 7.1 or higher. Eight MB of RAM is
recommended.
