Since this may be of some interest, I hope you will forgive a brief
"commercial".
My company is releasing a beta version of a new Java-aware editor for the
Macintosh. It features immediate checking for errors (syntax, name usage,
type usage, access control, etc.), and "smart" links to name declarations.
It also has an automatic interface with CodeWarrior for compiling.
