CLARIS SETS ANNUAL SOLUTIONS CONFERENCE FOR MAY 12-15 IN SAN JOSE

Three day conference to focus on integrating Claris software for the
Internet for "simply better solutions"

Santa Clara, Calif., March 31, 1997 - Claris Corporation has announced
that online registration is now open for its second annual Claris
Solutions Conference May 12-15, 1997, at the San Jose Fairmont, in San
Jose, Calif at http://www.claris.com/solutions conference . With "Simply
Better Solutions" as this year's theme, the conference will provide
training and education for software developers, consultants, trainers and
users.

Benefiting independent and in-house developers and consultants as well as
users of all levels, the conference will cover all key Claris software
applications, including FileMaker Pro 3.0 for Windows 95, Windows NT,
Windows 3.1 and Mac OS, Claris Home Page, Claris Emailer 2.0 for Mac OS
and ClarisWorks 4.0 for Windows 95 and Mac OS and Windows. Many of the
sessions will focus on how users and developers can web-enable Claris
software applications.

The three-day conference will also feature a Claris Solutions Product Fair
showcasing leading custom Claris solutions available from third-party
developers on Monday, May 12, from 6 to 8 p.m., along with seminars
designed to help independent consultants and developers be more successful
in managing and marketing their businesses. A special FileMaker Pro Bowl,
designed to test the skills and knowledge of FileMaker Pro users and
developers, sponsored by the Dig.FM, a FileMaker Pro special interest
group, will take place on the evening of Wednesday, May 14.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with Claris Technical
Support staff members to answer product-related questions. Claris will
offer a FileMaker Pro Proficiency Test on Wednesday, May 14, for all
attendees interested in joining the Partner Level of the Claris Solutions
Alliance, a consortium of professional third-party developers, consultants
and trainers who support Claris Corporation software applications.
Post-conference advanced training sessions are available on FileMaker Pro
led by Claris certified trainers including noted authors Rich Coulombre
and Chris Moyer, as well as Eric Culver, one of the nation's leading
FileMaker Pro experts and trainers.
