MacSourcery simplifies creation of screen savers using Macromedia
Director with CineMac for Director version 1.5 it just got easier to
make screen savers - thanks to MacSourcery.

Released this week, version 1.5 of CineMac for Director is designed
to work with Macromedia Director 7 to create high-impact screen
savers for Mac and PC using live internet content, animations and
video.

Developed by San Diego based software company MacSourcery, CineMac
for Director has proved to be a hit with blue chip companies
including Walt Disney, Sony, Columbia Pictures, Levi's and PepsiCo
who use screen savers to promote their products and services.

MacSourcery's CineMac for Director 1.5 converts Macromedia's Director
files into screen savers. Version 1.5 adds support for Director 7 and
includes the ability to create screen savers with internet updatable
content.

Version 1.5 is designed to make screen savers easier to create and
faster to download. Screen savers can be up to 75% more compact and
no longer need specialized lingo programming. The new version also
allows more flexibility in the screen saver interface, and includes
an option to create expiring screen savers for demonstration purposes.

MacSourcery President John Pattenden says CineMac for Director 1.5 is
easier to use and creates more compact screen savers than can be
automatically updated over the internet.

"CineMac 1.5 leverages the power of Director 7 to create screen
savers in a new compact format reducing size substantially. This
means users can enjoy faster downloads and screen savers can easily
fit onto a floppy disc."

CineMac 1.5 also provides users with the flexibility to create
dynamically updateable screen savers by pulling content from the
internet or a local network. Now screen savers can include anything
from stockmarket quotes to daily cartoons.

Mr Pattenden says screen savers are an effective promotional device
with thousands of people downloading screen savers every day to
customize their PC to reflect their own tastes.

"People love to customize their computer with screen savers that
reflect their personality and interests. It could be anything from a
feature film to the latest muscle car - screen savers have become the
90s way to make a fashion statement," he says.

Screen savers also provide marketeers with a great tool to
inexpensively promote their products to the millions of people using
the internet every day.

"CineMac 1.5 allows total customization of screen-savers and provides
the creator with an automatically updatable communication tool.
CineMac 1.5 and Director 7 make it easy to create screen savers that
can automatically update their content," Mr Pattenden says.

MacSourcery has designed the new version to provide greater
automation. CineMac 1.5 can handle screen saver termination without
programming in Director for both interactive and non-interactive
screen savers.

"This should make screen saver creation even easier and also make the
screen saver more responsive. Additionally, CineMac simplifies the
creation of screen savers (with or without audio) for both Mac and PC
platforms.

Cinemac for Director 1.5 is an update of the worlds most popular
screen saver creation toolkit and is available from MacSourcery's
on-line store at www.macsourcery.com

Pricing starts at $299 with a license to distribute up to 10,000
screen savers. Upgrades are free to registered users who purchased
CineMac for Director in the past year.

Founded in 1992, MacSourcery produces and distributes high quality
products for web and multimedia professionals in more 30 countries.
Companies including Intel, IBM, Paramount Pictures, Chiat Day, Ford
and Mercedes are using MacSourcery software products to inform,
