BLUE WORLD SHIPS LASSO WEB DATA ENGINE 3.6

Free upgrade for Lasso 3.x customers includes new documentation, new
functions, enhanced security, and new database support.

Bellevue, WA--January 5, 2000--Blue World Communications,
Inc.--pioneers of the Web Data Engine--today announced the immediate
availability of Lasso Web Data Engine 3.6, a free upgrade to Lasso 3.x
providing new documentation, new functions, enhanced security and
error handling, support for FileMaker Pro 5.0v2* and FileMaker Pro 5
Unlimited, and more. Blue World also announced revisions to the Lasso
Product Line.

"Lasso Web Data Engine 3.6 represents vast improvements to
documentation and functionality which will dramatically increase the
productivity of developers in the thriving Lasso community," said Bill
Doerrfeld, president and CEO of Blue World Communications, Inc. "The
new Lasso Product Line positions Blue World for continued long-term
success in the rapidly growing Web application server arena."

following new tags and functionality: - SQL Query wizard - Ability to
include binary documents within format files (Include Raw) - Enhanced
URL encoding controls (Encode Strict URL) - European currencies
conversion (Euro) - IP address to host name conversion (NSLookup) -
Retrieval of stock quote trade values (StockQuote)

Lasso Web Data Engine 3.6 also includes the new FMP5 Data Source
Module for Apple Event communication with FileMaker Pro 5.0v2* and
FileMaker Pro 5 Unlimited. The new data source module can be used in
conjunction with the FMP Data Source Module and FM Remote Module
enabling concurrent access to multiple installations of both FileMaker
Pro 3/4 and FileMaker Pro 5 databases.

New Lasso Product Line

The Lasso Product Line has been simplified into two products: Lasso
Web Data Engine and Lasso Studio, available in multiple editions and
configurations. Lasso Web Data Engine is the deployment product
available in three editions, Lasso 4D (see related Blue World and ACI
US joint announcement dated January 5, 2000), Lasso FMP, and Lasso

platforms including W*API for Macintosh Web servers, Lasso Web Server
for Macintosh (integrated Web server and CGI), Internet Information
Server ISAPI for Windows NT, and Netscape Servers WAI for Windows NT.
