Automated Solutions Group Releases AppGuard Pro version 3.0.2

Application Trialware and Registration Code Plug-In

Huntington Beach, CA - March 25, 1999: Automated Solutions Group
today announced the release of AppGuard Professional version 3.0.2, a
4th Dimension plug-in for creating Trialware and Registration
interfaces for custom applications.

AppGuard Professional is a standard 4th Dimension plug-in, which
provides tools for easily integrating Trialware and Registration
functionality into your custom
application, which can be distributed on the web or other
distribution services.

Using AppGuard Professional, you can now easily distribute Trialware
versions of any application by adding just a few lines of code. When
a user receives your application, they will be presented with a
greeting message and a unique product code. When the user is ready to
purchase your product, they simply provide you with the product code
and in turn receive and unlock code to register your application.
AppGuard Professional Features Include:

* Full featured Trialware system, supporting various trial methods (days,
hours, specific date and number of uses).
* End user registration system. Using the on-line registration system,
users can easily register your products on-line or via fax, thus removing
the requirement of completing a paper registration cards.
* Complex registration encryption algorithm to keep out pesky hackers
* Complete international support. All button labels and strings are
contained in easily modifiable resources.

Trial Manager(tm)

The Trial Manager utility provides a wizard style interface for
creating and managing trial and registration session files, as well
as a utilities for generating trial unlock and registration codes.

In addition, the Trial Manager can be used to store all end user
registration information about all your products which use the
AppGuard Professional security system, with complete export
capabilities should you wish to integrate with in house customer
tracking applications.

Version 3.0.2 now provides the AppGuard Professional Trial Manager on
both platforms (previously only available for Macintosh users).

AppGuard Professional is available for both Macintosh and Windows
based applications and includes a "no-hassle" license. Purchase a
single copy of AppGuard Professional per developer (per platform in
which it will be used or developed) within your organization and you
may use it royalty-free in an unlimited number of compiled
applications.
