IDG WORLD EXPO INTRODUCES ONLINE CONFERENCE PLANNER FOR MACWORLD SAN
FRANCISCO 2002

"My Show Planner" Lets Site Visitors Plan Ahead, Save Time

Framingham, Mass. - November 6, 2001 - IDG World Expo, the leading producer
of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for IT markets, announced
today that attendees can now personalize their conference schedules and
social engagements at Macworld Conference & Expo with the Macworld online
conference planner. My Show Planner is accessible via the Macworld
Conference & Expo website (www.macworldexpo.com), and allows users to plan
ahead to make the most of their time at Macworld Conference & Expo, which
is scheduled for January 7-11, 2002 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

Users of My Show Planner can browse and actively search more than 170
Macworld sessions to develop the educational programs most suited to their
needs. The tool alerts users to time conflicts, and session categories are
color-coded to make the selection process easier. A special Personal
Activity scheduler also allows users to book meetings or times to visit the
Expo floor. Users do not need to be registered for Macworld Conference &
Expo to use this handy tool.

"The Macworld Conference & Expo online conference planner has been an
enormous help to me in my planning for Macworld," said Richard Palmer,
senior Macintosh network support specialist at multi-channel retailer
Coldwater Creek, who plans to attend the event in January. "My Show Planner
is easy to use, and has helped me to create my own personalized educational
experience at Macworld."

"My Show Planner allows me to organize my activities to be extremely
productive," commented Eric Watkins, systems project manager at a major
national retailer. "Being able to have an at-a-glance schedule on the web
is a great benefit."

"My Show Planner lets Macworld Conference & Expo attendees control their
own schedules and helps them make the most of their time before they get
on-site," said Darrell Baker, vice president, event services, IDG World
Expo. "Many attendees requested this kind of tool to help them make
well-informed decisions about how they spend their time. IDG World Expo has
already received positive feedback on this new feature."

Also for the first time at Macworld, conference attendees can mix and match
conference packages for a more customized Macworld experience. Attendees
will have the opportunity to attend sessions across conference programs,
including both Macworld/Pro and Macworld/Users Conference program sessions.
In addition, the Platinum Pass offers unlimited access to Macworld/Power
Tools Conferences, Macworld/Pro and Macworld/Users Conference programs.
Attendees can also purchase a Macworld/Pro Day Pass to attend just one or
two days of the Macworld/Pro Conference program.

To use the Macworld online conference planner, click on the "My Show
Planner" link on the Macworld Conference & Expo site, and register by
setting up a username and password. Registration for the event is also
available on the Macworld Conference & Expo Web site at
www.macworldexpo.com.
