MACTECH MAGAZINE EXPANDS EDITORIAL STAFF
- Ed Marczak named new Executive Editor
- Web, readership and advertiser growth continue
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA -- April 5, 2006 -- As MacTech begins its 22nd year of
providing in-depth technical coverage for Mac developers, tech
professionals and power users, we are excited to announce that Edward R.
Marczak has been named to the position of Executive Editor. In addition,
MacTech has also added two new staff positions to MacTech's editorial
staff: Marianne Shilpa Jacobie as the magazine's copy editor, and
Dharmendra Rai as a MacTech Staff Writer.
Written for technical professionals, each and every month MacTech features
great, in-depth articles on topics including server configuration,
multi-vendor networking, security, supporting Macs in the Enterprise,
databases, web design, home automation, and much, much more. Since the
magazine's expansion in 2004, the magazine has enjoyed tremendous growth in
it's web services, as well as with its readership and advertisers.
In this position, Ed brings to MacTech decades of experience. With a
background ranging from sys admin to CTO, Unix to Windows to Mac, and more,
Ed's vast experience includes a background in enterprise application
development, IT support services, and consulting. Ed is 'lifer' in the
technology arena, with stints at Computer Associates, Arthur Andersen,
Viacom, and more. However, he always returns to his favorite technology
platform: Macintosh. As the founder of Radiotope (a consulting firm in the
Northeast U.S.) and a MacTech columnist, Ed is exceptionally well qualified
to guide MacTech readers through the most relevant of topics.

At MacTech, Ed will be leading our editorial team in developing the
magazine's technical content, working with authors to focus on the topics
most relevant to the Mac technical community, and continuing to author his
renowned Mac in the Shell column for the magazine.
Our editorial team will continue to expand our content to deliver great
value for all IT professionals, developers, net admins and all
professionals who utilize the Mac in their jobs. Dave Mark, MacTech's
Editor-at-Large, will continue to drive our programming content. Michael
Harvey will continue to deliver great product reviews, and, Andrea J.
Sniderman will focus on business topics as the magazine's Editor-at-Large.
In addition, MacTech's array of columnists and regular contributors
continue in their areas of expertise.
