MacTech Magazine Continues The Evolution Of New MacTech

MACTECH MAGAZINE CONTINUES THE EVOLUTION OF NEW MACTECH
- Readers loving the new MacTech
- David Sobsey named new Associate Publisher

San Francisco, CA (MACWORLD EXPO) -- January 11, 2005 -- As MacTech
celebrates its 20th anniversary of providing in-depth technical coverage
for Mac developers, tech professionals and power users, we are excited to
announce we have named David Sobsey to the newly created position of
Associate Publisher.

Rolled-out in our November issue, the new MacTech Magazine features not
only a great new design, but a greatly expanded page count and even more
great "How To" articles on topics our readers are finding invaluable.
Written for technical professionals, each and every month MacTech features
great, in-depth articles on topics including server configuration,
multi-vendor networking, security, supporting Macs in the Enterprise, PDF
tricks, databases, web design, home automation, and much, much more.

In this newly created position, David brings to MacTech 20 years experience
in the Mac market place. David's vast experience includes a background in
enterprise application development, IT support services, sales, and
organizational development. In 1991, David co-founded Seneca Corp. an IT
services company who's customers included Apple, Digital Equipment, Compaq,
LinoType and Booz Allen. His background also includes stints as CEO of
Multicast Technologies, a multicast consulting and product development
company and Audiosonix, a company that developed proprietary Internet based
file delivery software for the media content marketplace.

"We're thrilled to have David take the role of Associate Publisher," said
Neil Ticktin, Publisher of MacTech Magazine. "David's background on the
Mac, his understanding of what geeks need to get things done, his marketing
experience, and his recognition within the Enterprise market all make him
the perfect person for the position. Not to mention, it's always great to
have another Dave on the team. :)"

At MacTech, David will be responsible for the magazine's non-developer
technical content, managing the overall production of the magazine, as well
as ad sales and business development.

Our Editors we will continue to expand our content to deliver great value
for all IT professionals, developers, net admins and all professionals who
utilize the Mac in their jobs. Dave Mark, MacTech's Editor-In-Chief, will
continue to manage our developer content and bring to our readers his great
technical insight and keen understanding of the Mac technical marketplace
through his widely acclaimed "Getting Started" column. Jessica Stubblefield
will continue on the team, working to bring additional content to the
magazine. And, Michael Harvey will continue to deliver great product
reviews.
