MACTECH MAGAZINE ANNOUNCES NEW COLUMN BY SCOTT KNASTER
-- Scott Knaster joins the magazine as columnist
-- Acclaimed writer returns to the Macintosh fold
Westlake Village, CA -- March 3, 2003 -- MacTech Magazine is proud to
announce that renowned book author and technical writer Scott Knaster is
joining the magazine as a columnist. The new column for MacTech is called
"Mac OS X Programming Secrets", and starts in the April 2003 issue.
Scott is best known for his classic books "How to Write Macintosh Software"
and "Macintosh Programming Secrets", which helped teach a generation of
Macintosh programmers their craft. Now Scott brings his informative and
humorous style to the heart of the Mac programming community with his new
column for MacTech.
"Scott not only has an incredible writing style, but he understands the
issues that concern many Mac programmers out there." says Neil Ticktin,
Publisher of MacTech Magazine. "An icon in the community, a long time
supporter of the magazine, and a man with a desire to give to this
community -- we welcome Scott with open arms to MacTech."
"This is a huge win for us", says Dave Mark, Editor-in-Chief of MacTech.
"Scott's column will be a perfect complement for the Getting Started
column, helping take beginners to the next level as they explore the nooks
and crannies of Mac OS X. As readers will soon find out, Scott is a jewel,
a truly gifted writer whose work is a real pleasure to read."
"I'm thrilled to be jumping back into the Mac programming universe as a
columnist for MacTech," says Scott Knaster. "Mac OS X offers a vast toolkit
of cool stuff for programmers to play with, and MacTech is the best place
to write about it. I'm really looking forward to exploring, writing about
what's going on, and cracking plenty of bad jokes along the way."
