OUTDOOR MONITORING
BOURNE, MA, October 10, 2006 - Onset Computer Corporation, a leading
supplier of battery-powered data loggers, today announced the HOBO Pro v2
Series, a family of four Mac-compatible, weatherproof data loggers designed
for use in a broad range of outdoor temperature and humidity monitoring
applications.
Slightly larger than a pocket-sized flashlight, the new HOBO Pro v2 loggers
address the need among professional researchers for a portable data logger
that can withstand harsh outdoor and condensing environments. Example
applications include field site evaluations, ecology studies, and
microclimate monitoring.
Key features include:
- Robust and replaceable RH sensor, which provides superior recovery from
condensing conditions.
- Fast, reliable data offload via a high-speed optic-USB interface.
- Compatibility with Onset's HOBO Waterproof Shuttle for fast, safe data

A choice of four loggers is offered, including a temperature/RH internal
sensor model, a temperature/RH external sensor model, a dual external
temperature sensor model, and a one-internal/one-external temperature
sensor model. Each HOBO Pro v2 logger can store 42,000 measurements and
runs for up to three years on a single, user-replaceable battery.
For plotting and analyzing data, Onset offers HOBOware software, a highly
intuitive graphing and analysis software package for Mac computers.
HOBOware provides a user-friendly graphical user interface and enables
users to quickly and easily plot, analyze and print data files, as well as
export data to spreadsheet programs.
