iView 3.8 with iUpload 1.0

5/2/00

iView Multimedia 3.8 has several improvements like the ability to read
Alias Pix format, AGD4 (Freehand 8), and drw7 (Canvas 7). Also iView
Multimedia has added a Chinese plug-in so its menus and dialogs can be read
in Chinese.

Even more significant is the addition of a new module called iUpload which
allows uploading images direct to photo upload sites on the web. iUpload
can upload directly from and iView catalog directly to the Photopoint and
Zing photo web sites. More sites will be added over time.

Everyone is welcome to download the latest version of iView Multimedia
from: http://www.iview-multimedia.com
http://www.scriptsoftware.com
It only takes opening the application once to fall in love with it.

A couple of iView Multimedia users make these comments.

"I wished there was one application that could open up and see all the
Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, Freehand, and Digital Camera files and
formats we use. And then we found iView! Sometimes we get what we wish for."
Gary Fong
Dir. of Editorial Graphics Technology
San Francisco Chronicle

"As the official photographer for the Miss America Pageant and the chief
photographer for Sloans Auction Gallery I needed a program that would
organize as well as display thousands of images with ease. Nothing worked
like iView Multimedia. This is a must have program for every photographer."
B. Vartan Boyajian

What is iView Multimedia?

iView Multimedia is a professional digital asset management system.

iView Multimedia can be used to catalog/display all these files, Quark,
Canvas, Painter, Live Picture, Freehand, PageMaker, Illustrator, gif, jpg,
TIFF, PICT, GX, BMP, Targa, EPS, fonts, sounds, movies, QuickTime VR,
animation, MPEG, PNG, Photoshop, MIDI, karaoke, Electric Image and
Electronic Arts, Alias and many others.

It can be used by pros in a demanding publishing environment because it
follows international standards, is photoshop compatible, is extremely
fast, powerful, stable and has great color precision.

At the same time it is not just for pros because it is fun, inexpensive,
practical and easy to use for anyone with a Macintosh.

8000 media files can be kept in one catalog and an infinite number of these
catalogs can be created. Create a web site of photos with just two clicks.
Export catalogs of media from iView Multimedia as QuickTime movies or a
poster or a text database or as an HTML website.

iView Multimedia can print out images and catalogs in a number of formats
including for a CD jewel case or Zip disk case and in many other ways. Add
annotation in the professional (ANPA) format used by Photoshop to any media
file. Add annotation as a batch to thousands of files at a time something
Photoshop cannot do. iView many other tools to batch rename, move, copy,
convert media files. Can also create finder icons for all images in a
catalog. Display media files thru 4 different views. Info, Thumbnail, Full
Size and Slide Show. It uses Apples drag and drop technology very
effectively.

Version 3.8 Improvements
- Added support for Alias Pix file format, AGD4 (Freehand 8), and drw7
(Canvas 7).
- Added new application called iUpload which allows uploading images direct
to the photo upload sites on the web.
- Fixed problem when importing a variation of SFW files.
- Fixed problem with the label menu containing items with names longer
than 31 characters.
- Fixed AppleScript bug when saving a catalog in a new file already opened
by another user.
- Added support for the Chinese language.

An expert in the field of digital photography says:
"Digital photographers looking for a robust, low-cost way to archive their
Kodak Professional proprietary TIFFs need look no further than iView
Multimedia. Users who process their digital cameras images through Camera
Bits Photo Mechanic or AP Viewer software will be especially happy with the
new features in iView Multimedia"
