PACE Anti-Piracy Releases Version 2.1 of InterLok for Windows and Macintosh
Platforms
Updates Provide Extra Security, New Support and Compatibility Features

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA - August 22, 2000 -- PACE Anti-Piracy Inc., a leader
in the development of anti-piracy systems for software developers, today
released version 2.1 of InterLok and InterLok Pro for both the Macintosh
and Windows platforms. The updates add a number of important support and
compatibility features, and include a wholly new copy protection
architecture for InterLok for Macintosh. Software developers who protect
their products with PACE's InterLok system should upgrade to version 2.1 to
take advantage of these new features.

New Features: InterLok for Macintosh 2.1 Version 2.1 of InterLok for
Macintosh contains several new features, the most important of which are:

* Fundamental changes to InterLok's architecture have been implemented,
making InterLok for Macintosh 2.1 even more secure than previous versions.

* Support has been added for alternative challenge/response and serial
number dictionaries. Software developers can now create their own custom
dictionaries or choose from standard, alternate, and numeric dictionaries
supplied with the program.

* The PACE Interface has been extended to support API calls for invoking
specific types of authorization. This feature can be useful for developers
as an alternative to hot keys by providing a mechanism to programmatically
force authorization.

New Features: InterLok for Windows 2.1
Version 2.1 of InterLok for Windows also contains several new features, the
most important of which are:

* Support for Windows 2000 systems.

* Support for multi-processor systems.

* Added support for alternative challenge/response and serial number
dictionaries. Software developers can now create their own custom
dictionaries or choose from standard, alternate and numeric dictionaries
supplied with the program.

* The PACE Interface has been extended to support API calls for invoking
specific types of authorization. This feature can be useful for developers
as an alternative to hot keys by providing a mechanism to programmatically
force authorization.

* A new purchase method has been added to allow wrapped software to be
purchased and authorized via the Internet.

Availability and Pricing
Both InterLok for Macintosh and InterLok for Windows 2.1 are available for
download immediately from PACE's web site. The update is free of charge to
current PACE licensees. More information is available about PACE
