Insider Announces FontAgent X

FONTAGENT X BECOMES TOTAL FONT MANAGER, TAKES ON SUITCASE AND FONTRESERVE

Font Optimization and Organization Leader Adds Font Activation and Management

May 14, 2002 [Carlsbad, CA] Insider Software today announced the immediate
availability of Insider FontAgent X for Mac OS X, a groundbreaking Cocoa
release that adds font activation, set management, and support for any
number of font libraries to the industry's leading font optimization
product. The new FontAgent X is so functionally complete that it is the
only font utility that Macintosh users need to organize, activate, preview,
repair and manage their font collections.

"Other font management vendors have recommended FontAgent to their users
for years for its font integrity and organization power, and the users have
told us that they want just one comprehensive font product," said Rio
Sabadicci, CEO of Insider Software. "Our new release starts with
FontAgent's unique font organization and repair powers, and adds features
that go beyond the font-management abilities of Suitcase and FontReserve."

COMPREHENSIVE LIBRARY CREATION, REPAIR AND MANAGEMENT Insider FontAgent X
enables users to build any number of libraries containing fonts that have
been tested for integrity, assigned meaningful names, and organized by font
family. With the click of a button, users can find, clean, rejoin and
organize all their fonts on multiple disks. FontAgent checks for corrupt
fonts, partial font families, and font version issues, fixing font problems
before they cause crashes, unexpected substitutions, printing errors and
application problems.

NEW SUPPORT FOR FONT SETS, ACTIVATION AND PREVIEWING The new FontAgent
allows users to define font sets that associate fonts from any number of
libraries with drag-and-drop ease. It also enables them to activate and
deactivate individual fonts and font sets with a single click. In addition,
FontAgent X includes the most powerful font preview facility in the
industry, allowing users to define any text string and display it in any
typeface contained in any font library, in any size, without having to
activate the font. These new features make selecting fonts and jumping
between projects simple and quick.

CLEAR INTERFACE FOR ALL-IN-ONE FUNCTIONALITY The all new Aqua interface
incorporates many OS X features such as sheets, extensive drag and drop,
and toolbars.

"FontAgent X is a terrific piece of software, with a beautifully clear,
understandable interface, and lucid, well organized help," commented
Michael Meyer, an editor and writer for Columbia Health Services in New
York. "In the brief time FontAgent X requires to collect fonts on an entire
drive, it verifies the integrity of the fonts, detects duplicates, and
completes other steps that other font managers have to perform as separate,
time-consuming actions. FontAgent X runs like a demon on my old PowerBook
and it's making my life a lot easier."

THE UNIQUE POWERS OF FONTAGENT X
FontAgent X introduces a number of unique features never seen before in
font management, including the ability to:

* Define multiple font libraries that can be opened simultaneously
* Define font sets that traverse multiple font libraries
* Activate and deactivate sets of fonts simultaneously from
multiple libraries
* Rename font files with meaningful file names for easy management
* Verify the integrity of fonts on-the-fly as they are activated
* Reorganize scattered fonts into useful libraries that maintain Mac
OS font-file formats
* Preview any text string in any size in any typeface

The new features in FontAgent X supersede the capabilities of FontReserve
and Suitcase while combining seamlessly with FontAgent's award-winning font
repair and organization features.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
Insider FontAgent X for Macintosh is available for immediate download from
Insider's website at www.insidersoftware.com and costs $89.95 US for a
single license. Current FontAgent customers can upgrade to the new version
for $49.95 US. Users can also download FontAgent X demo software that
manages up to 250 font files, and upgrade later to a full license by
visiting the Insider website.

HIGH RATINGS FROM INDUSTRY PUBLICATIONS
In recent years, FontAgent has been honored with an Editor's Choice award
from MacUser, 5 disks from MacReview, 4 mice from ZDNet, 4 apples from
MacHome and 4 stars from Publish Magazine.
